This is a New York deli at its finest!! The bread is thick, fresh and the variety is amazing. If you can stick it between two slices of bread and consider it yummy, they will have it (or they'll make it up special). Lots of local reading material is available along the window sills for your reading enjoyment as you munch your crunchy pickles and eat your delectable sandwich. Note--for those with smaller to average appetites, a half sandwich will do--it comes with a pickle and a side dish of slaw, potato salad, etc.
The ambiance is great. One caveat--a recent visit 40 minutes before closing time on a Friday night had the staff already putting away many of their offerings, which was a disappointment.

They have the best spicy pickles I have had anywhere. They serve a few with every sub purchase. The subs are huge and definitely a good deal for the pirce. They always use the freshest ingredients. The store is clean and the owner is very friendly. I love to come in here to eat and recommend this place to my friends.

This is a good deli, plain and simple. Their pastrami is as good as expected, and one sandwich may last you for two lunches -- I often take half home, because their sandwiches are so big. They have an excellent breakfast as well. This is truly a family restaurant. Photographs of their whole family history are hung on the wall, and though some of the pictures are 20 years old, the same people are there in the restaurant, refilling your coffee. They also have a retail store attached to the restaurant, where you can buy their tasty deli meats by the pound.

The servings are more than generous. The corn beef is totally without fat and the tastiest in town. The potato latkes are better than Grandma ever made. The people are friendly and homey. The ambience is very New York. The prices are very competitive. It is handy to the southeast end of the metropolitan area. Parking is easy. What more can one ask?

Such a refreshing change from the big impersonal chain stores. This place has fresh product, high quality and one-on-one personal service. Organic, natural, simply made products with knowledgeable staff. Their deli in the back offers fresh and varied meal selections with a smile. They have lots of community postings and reading material there, so it has a real neighborhood feel. I often buy a sandwich and then sit out front on the sidewalk in one of their chairs to watch the world go by on Tennyson!
