We were trying to trap a couple stray kittens and although the Cat Care Society was full, we rented a humane trap from them ($50 deposit, first three days free, $0.50/day after that, and the days of pick-up and drop-off didn't count). It took me ten minutes after setting up the trap to catch the second kitten (after trying for days to lure him inside with food); we took them to the Humane Society and they were both adopted within two weeks. Thanks!

When my cat was missing a number of years ago, one of the shelters I called during my search was the Cat Care Society. They were always very friendly and helpful (and I called a number of times). Besides my experiences with them, I’ve known people who have dealt with the Society, and they’ve always been satisfied. The shelter is a no-kill, cage-free shelter, and is usually pretty full as a result. Their website is great: they have lots of information about themselves, as well as pictures and descriptions of many of the cats they have up for adoption, which I think is a huge plus for anyone who is looking for a kitty.
