This is one of my all-time fav places to eat! I go here every year for my b-day and never regret it. I definately think that there are things you should know going in:
*Leave the kids at home!!! Unless you have super adventerous kids-they probably won't like the food.
*Be prepared to try new food-there's no burgers or steaks here!
*Yes, you may have to wait-even though you made a reservation. Since they do thier best to schedule the belly dancers and the "tea performers" at the end of meals, it's important thet they seat a certain area at the same time. Your wait maybe extended if others have not shown up on time or they need to fill an area.
*You have to sit on the floor! Yes there are plenty of super comfy pillows but the service (5 courses) is super long. If you can't sit for that long-you might skip it.
All-in-all it's super fun, the food is yummy and you definately won't forget your experience!
Pros: new, exciting, entertaining, happy/full tummy
Cons: the wait

Casablanca is the sort of place you talk about for months afterward. It's tucked away in south Denver, and the owner is one hell of a character. I came here on a Tuesday night to find that only one other table was being served. He explained quite a lot of the menu while we lounged on a couch that took up an entire wall of the restaurant.
The food was tender, spicy, and several standard deviations outside of the Americanized norms of north African restaurants. My date had spent several years in various parts of the Middle East and North Africa and talked about how he hadn't eaten something like that in the years since he left. It is tremendously tasty and hard to replicate.
The owner also made the meal an experience! Dishes are explained in detail and eaten with ones (right) hands. Casablanca seeks authenticity away from S. University from the hanging tapestries to the hookahs.

It was ok. It was pretty tasty for food court food. I?m not a big fan of falafel ? mainly it?s a vessel to get the yummy sauce into your mouth! It was neat that they had little falafel nuggets. The gyro meat was tasty, the salad was yummy and the hot sauce they pour all over everything ? super yummy! I would like to taste the hummus, baba gannoush, and tabbouli. It in a good place on 16th st (2 locations in fact).
Pros: Quick meal for lunch, gyro meat is tasty, can grab and go
Cons: Confusing menu
