I took my dog to her a while back because he was vomiting, barely eating or drinking, and having diarrhea. After examining him, she didn't know what was wrong with him. She kept saying, "I'm just not sure, this is weird." It seemed to like common symptoms for a number of possible illnesses, but she never mentioned any. Instead, she just gave me medicine for his stomach ache, antibiotic, and put my pup on a bland diet. After a week and a few days he wasn't getting any better, so I took him to another vet. There I was told her could have a certain type of stomach virus or kennel cough. That vet gave him meds that treated it in less than a week. That was the first time I saw her, so maybe it was an off day. I can tell she loves animals like other reviews have said, but I'm not sure if she is always certain about her ability to diagnose or whatever. Liking animals is one thing, knowing what you're doing as a vet is another.

I've been going to Dr. Adams for years and have never been anything but happy. She cares deeply for the animals she treats and has always been very thorough. I don't use anyone else.

Dr. Adams has been my veterinarian of choice for many years now, and I have nothing but praise for her practice. She has provided excellent care for my current two cats their entire lives, along with those dogs and cats which are no longer with me. She has a great concern for the health and comfort of her patients, and it shows in the quality of care and treatment she provides. I have a number of friends and associates who agree with me on this whole-heartedly.
I am surprised that there are any accurate negative reviews of her work. I have not found a more capable, caring veterinarian in the Denton area.

Dr. Adams is a wonderful vet. I've used her for years and have always found her to be knowledgeable and caring. When my dog (Denny) was run over and almost every bone was broken in her body, Dr. Adams didn't push for putting her to sleep. She pretty much pieced Denny back together and was there to assist with her recovery. My dog owes her life to Dr. Adams, and I am so grateful to have her as my vet.

I took my cat to see Dr. Adams because she had a bump on her head and was having a really hard time keeping her balance. The vet told me that it was just a busted salivary gland and that my cat probably had a problem with one of her legs. A few weeks later her symptoms were still there, only her bump was larger and she had a fever. She still thought something was wrong with her leg, but did nothing about it. She only gave Elizabeth antibiotic. About a month later, Liz's bump was bigger still and the vet opened her up and only found air -she was confused. Test results came back inconclusive. The vet didn't know what else to do and told us that she would get back with us about imaging - 6 weeks later after calling her a few times, we heard nothing. Now, Elizabeth's bump was a little over twice the size it was in the beginning and pushing her eye down and out. I took her to a different vet (Dove Creek) and they took samples, ran tests, and are removing the tumor all within a week of seeing them!
I recommend not going to this vet. I'm not sure why it took her so long when she did not know what was wrong. The ethical thing to do would have been to recommend a different vet. Our new vet said it was unmistakable that our cat had a mass growing oh her head - no air, but a mass! My cat is at a critical point now because we trusted Dr. Adams and waited too long, she may lose her eye sight. Perhaps, Dr. Adams does not keep up on her research or has gotten used to a certain way of practicing. Whatever the case, it almost cost my cats eye sight and potentially her life if the tumor spread too far.
When it comes to our pet's health, time is of the essence. Ethics should be considered to reduce the pet's pain and disease in a TIMELY manner! If you love your pet and they have something serious. Please take them to a vet better prepared.

They help out at local events with vaccines and offer them at a discounted price compared to to an office visit. Clean setting. They cats on one side and doggies on another. They offer boarding of small animals or for older pets that need more care than a pet sitter. Prices are a little high but they offer expert care in a nice office.
