I was riddled with salon anxiety before I forced myself to give A Natural Buzz a try. I thought my hair was hopeless and felt pretty nervous, but Zane put me at ease. He also gave me a terrific cut and good advice about how to take care of it. I'm still hair-challenged, but I think I can say I am in recovery, thanks to a positive experience at this laid-back neighborhood joint. A Natural Buzz uses and sells Aveda products.

Cafe Alsace might be my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. I won't claim it's the best in Atlanta, but best and favorite can be very different. The food is superb, but much like the restaurant itself--casual, homey, and charming. Alsace is a region in France near the German border and the food choices reflect the region. While you'll find your choice of crepes and beef burgundy, there are also noodle dishes made of home made spaetzle. The owners are from this area of France and you can tell they take great delight in sharing what they love with their guests. And while it usually does a good business at dinner, their Sunday brunch is tragically poorly appreciated considering that it is the best in Decatur, far better than the overrated Crescent Moon down the road. In fact, the next time you're waiting in a half hour wait at Crescent Moon, I recommend you walk up the hill and enjoy one of Cafe Alsace's great omelets or crepes and fantastic almond croissants.

There are very few places I've been where one can walk in and feel at home. I've been going to Thinking Man Tavern for a few years and this is one of those spots. The first time I went, Emory was our bartender and by the end of my visit I was hooked. Since then I feel like a part of the family! The food never disappoints, the service is on point even when they are slammed. I am addicted to the patty melt. It's the last thing I eat each time I swear off red meat forever, and the first thing I eat when I fall off the wagon! :) The soups are also always fresh and amazing... and lest we forget this is a watering hole - the beer selection is terrific. Check out pint night on Wednesdays for great beer prices!
Pros: great food - full menu lasts farly late-ish. super service. great beer selection!
Cons: if the patty melt weren't so darn good I swear I'd be a vegetarian by now!!

This is my favorite place in town to get a cheese tray and a glass of wine with my girlfriends. It's a great place to sit and chat in a great atmosphere. I moved to Dunwoody and still go back regularly.
Pros: atmospere, food, drinks, staff

I love the chicken enchiladas!
The decision whether to get "my usual" or go with one of their specials is a struggle of mega proportions at each visit. They're both so good.
Go there. Good atmosphere, too.
Pros: Out of the ordinary
Cons: Little pricey, but still reasonable

The first time i went there was Slam night. This is the second sunday of every month. This is when people do spoken word for competative purposes. this was fun to listen to, especially while sipping on some delicious hot chocolate. The crowd this place attracts is social and friendly. I can honestly say i haven't been to a place like this in a while. Definitly something you should make time for.
Pros: Great staff, modern atmosphere, great drinks!
Cons: a bit too small.

You can find almost everything in the world in here! They have a wide variety of items at reasonable prices. I like to visit the bakery counter. The lemon squares are deeelicious! You can spend hours just wandering and reading. Being that prices of everything are high, I'd visit before the next salad!
