It was never that good, from what I remember! I love Vietnamese food, but this was such a pallid version of it that I never wondered why it would go out of business...

This Vietnamese cuisine is savory and even the plating is beauiful. The desserts are especially scrumptios--green tea ice cream with fried bananas!!! More

This is an unpretentious corner restaurant that, as another reviewer says, will save you a trip to Buford Highway. The pho and the grilled pork are my favorites, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the soups or soup bowls. The family who runs the restaurant are friendly and eager to please, and they will modify their dishes to taste without a lot of hassle. You won't find as many surprises here as you might elsewhere, but you never leave disappointed.

I used to make my way up to Buford Highway just to get some Vietnamese Pho soup. Now I just drive to downtown Decatur and make my way to Viet Chateau. Viet Chateau's food, especially its Pho, is every bit as good as the eateries you'll find on Buford Highway. But it also manages to give a fine dining experience with prices comparable to a Buford Highway dive. The atmosphere has a quiet elegance and the service is polite and attentive. The vermicelli noodles with charbroiled pork is my favorite dish, but I haven't had a bad meal here. The servings here aren't always huge, which is not a bad thing. Especially considering that it leaves room for their dessert specialty--fried banana with three flavors of homemade ice cream.
