I shopped here for years when I lived in Atlanta. The guys who work here really know their stuff, and if they don't have what you are looking for, they will do their best to find it for you some place and get it to you. Old punk records, new wave cassettes (yes, cassettes as in tapes!), local Atlanta CD's, and decor to die for. The next time you visit, look up at all the cool posters on the ceiling and memorabilia on the walls. Oh and don't be shy about chatting up the staff about music. Contrary to popular belief, they won't bite.

WUXTRY Atlanta is the type of record store where you go to “look for a record,” not drop in to snap up the latest new release.
In a cramped storefront near the Emory University campus, WUXTRY is stacked wall to wall with an eclectic selection of new and used CDs (you can find some gems at great prices), and classics on vinyl.
The selection of jazz, blues and bluegrass albums on both CD and vinyl is excellent.
And they do get a good selection of the latest CDs from mainstream and indie artists, but they only order a few copies. They always seem to go before I get there, forcing a guilt-inducing trip to search at the nearest big-box.

Wuxtry is one of the last bastions for vinyl in Atlanta. A giant selection of LPs, 45s and 78s can be found in the many bins in the tiny store near Emory University. Indie and local bands are also well represented and the knowledgeable staff can help direct you to just the sounds you're looking for. Check out the collectibles and admire the selection of old concert and album posters that line the walls and ceiling.
