We first visited Paradise Grill about 6 months ago. My husband found it online and we decided to give it a shot since we weren't particularly familiar with Jamaican food and the prices looked really reasonable.
We went in to have dinner and were greeted by Leroy, probably one of the friendliest and most kind-hearted people we've met here in Atlanta. He is originally from Jamaica but has been in the States for several years. He's also very talkative and wants to make sure you enjoy everything.
We've been back a couple more times for dinner, and just recently we had them cater a social event for 300 people. Their food is soooooo good. The jamaican patties, curried chicken and plantains are my favourites, but everything there is really tasty. We went once with my parents and ordered tons of different things from the menu (philly, jerked chicken, quesadilla, rice, etc.) to share, and it was all excellent.
They don't have a liquor license yet, but their mango juices and sodas from Jamaica are really yummy.
And their prices really are great and their portions are very generous. The dinner we had there for 4 people (where we tried about 1/2 of the menu!) was only $45.
Pros: Excellent Food, Great Service, Very Reasonable Prices

Recently my husband and I happened upon this place when its next door neighbor Watershed had a long line. It was a great find and now I'm glad Watershed was booked. The food was excellent and the service top notch. We will definitely be going back.

I've been coming to Los Bravos on a regular basis for about six years. They have a band on Friday nights and it's loads of fun. They have lots of outdoor seating for when the weather is good. I usually get the poblanos, but that's a lot of food so if I'm not wanting to get completely stuffed I get the chicken soup which is excellent. This is a great place to bring your family and friends. It's my favorite Mexican place in town and I've been to plenty.
Pros: Mariachi band on Fridays, family atmosphere
Cons: I'm too full afterwards!

I have been eating at Siam for several years now. I don't think I've ever had dish that wasn't top notch. The sauteed Basil dish and Rama delight are standards for me. The Thai fried rice is great - very subtle but spot on. They do great seafood too. And even if you'd had Pad Thai till your sick of it, theirs will still make you smile.
The service is always excellent, even if you're just doing a take-out. And now they deliver. But the location on Decatur Square is nice, and the most obvious thing that sets it apart from Thai Me Up, which is new to Decatur and also excellent, by the way. Siam is also a bit more spacious than Thai Me Up. Decatur has two very good Thai alternatives.
Pros: Can't miss menu, great service, on the Square, delivery

The food here is amazing! You can't go wrong, so order anything off of the menu. I have taken several out of town guests here. If you can, grab a table in the back of the restaurant by the fireplace. Everything you want in a good pub is here. Great drinks, great place to stay after your meal and talk, and you are never rushed.
If it's cool, grab a seat outside to people watch. Mondays (at least recently) offer half off entrees.
