This is a really hard place to find - you have to know where it is beforehand. I like that this bowling alley is not one of the bigger chains... the biggest way that shows is in the customer service, which was very personal. One time when I went they were having a league and didn't have open lanes - and the person at the desk even called another bowling alley to see if they could fit us in there!

Suburban Lanes is a good choice to take the kids the bowling and keep them busy for a while. The alley offers plentiful lanes (24, if I remember correctly) and has a huge variety of bowling balls that range from six pounds to twenty, so everyone will have a ball that's right for them. Fees are very reasonable for rental and games, so you might want to stay and play two or three! It's very clean and family-friendly, but league nights can get smoky (asthmatics beware!). There's plenty of parking and traffic is not usually a problem.

I used to like coming to this bowling alley on the weekends because its a nice sized bowling alley that doesn't get overly crowded on weekends. It's a clean bowling alley and they have decent prices--$1.75 to bowl during the week, and $2.75 on weekends plus $2.25 for shoes. They also have pretty decent food at their snack bar. They even have a pro shop where you can buy shoes, bowling balls, and other supplies for more advanced bowlers. They have several leagues, and an interesting thing about this bowling alley is its owned by a reverend!

I've been to this lane six times and I've never been able to complete 10 frames without the need to request a technician to fix the pinsetter/ballreturn. Expect a repair time of at least 5 minutes...be prepared to breakdown again after another few frames. I really wouldn't mind paying a little more to be able to bowl without the nagging interruptions.
Pros: Location, Location, Location
Cons: Pinsetter pre 70's, House Balls pre 70's, Staff could care less

Those that don't know much hate on this place, but by far this is one of the best set of lanes around town. I have played at other lanes in Atlanta but none compare to how well maintained these lanes are. A maintenace crew is always on hand constantly performing upkeep and making sure that the lanes are performing up to par. Leagues rule the world here meaning that these are some serious lanes. If your looking for a place to go and prove yourself, then step up to the plate at suburban.
Pros: Excellent Lanes, Friendly folks
Cons: Dead side walls

$3 per person per game?! That's ridiculous! Maybe I was just ripped off, but for the sub-standard facilities, that's just way too much.
