As a business traveller, I am always on the look out for a great place to eat. I found myself in Danbury, CT searching for somewhere to eat other than a chain restaurant. Finding Cafe on the Green was a true delight. Located on a golf course that feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, Cafe on the Green offers a warm atmosphere and a delectable menu. The wine menu is entensive. For my entree, I chose a delicious sausage and ziti dish in a light tomato sauce with a dollop of fresh ricotta cheese. My colleague had a duck dish that she absolutely adored. Keep in mind that each entree is accompanied by a delightful fresh green salad in a light vinegarette. I was slightly disappointed by my dessert-tiramisu. The tiramisu itself was ok, but the dish was garnished with a sour apple syrup. It just did not go. Perhaps I should have had the Banana's Foster. I will definitely return to Cafe on the Green whenever I am in the Danbury, CT area.
Pros: Delightful food, great atmosphere, prompt service.
Cons: You will need good directions to find the restaurant.

I was pleased to see that Judd’s Florist didn’t sell just flowers and floral arrangements. They had a nice selection of stuffed animals and chocolates in addition to their beautiful flowers. Delivery is prompt. The only downside was that I had to wait until the weekends to visit the stores because they close at 5.

Please try. I have been eating there for at least 13 years. Danbury needs them to stay. WE love the workers. They have one of the best pizzas around. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Pros: Great taste. Great slices. Pretty clean.
Cons: parking ok if not busy.

Good bar food, such as all sorts of wings, onion rings, big salads, burgers and even a kids menu. All kinds of beer and other drinks, and live music on weekends. Warm and cozy atmosphere with great service and rarely a wait to get seated. Plenty of parking and family friendly.

I come to Ski Market at the beginning of the winter to have my snowboard tuned and waxed, which is very affordable, especially when they have their half-price sale. There is a good selection of accessories and outerwear. I’ve bought almost everything here – snowboard leash, stomp pad, neck gator, scarves, gloves, bindings, and goggles.

A friend of mine recommended this place a few months ago and I’m glad that I finally tried the food there. The dining room is on the smaller side and the AC was on full blast the day I went, but the food was great. I especially enjoyed the fried shrimp flavored chips that came out before the meal! I asked for my dish to be extra spicy, and they didn’t disappoint.

As with Stew Leonard's dairy store, their wine shop is excellent. Greta selection, great prices, great staff...what more could one ask for. Basically, if you like their dairy store, you'll like their wine store. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone, if of course your of age ;)

Tired of your kids sitting around the house playing video games . . . well then take them out for an hour of duckpin bowling at the Danbury Duck Pin Lanes. The kids have a blast and it is a great way to introduce them to this game. This is duckpin bowling - - not kingpin. It is a challenge for any adult - - No One has Ever bowled the perfect Duckpin game. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. Give it a try - - - you might become a fan of this great game!!!
