I come to Ski Market at the beginning of the winter to have my snowboard tuned and waxed, which is very affordable, especially when they have their half-price sale. There is a good selection of accessories and outerwear. I’ve bought almost everything here – snowboard leash, stomp pad, neck gator, scarves, gloves, bindings, and goggles.

A lot of local sports teams go here to get uniforms made up - and they do a good job of it. I've personally found them easy to work with and they were basically willing to do anything that I asked them to do. They did silk screening for the shirts and then made up baseball hats as well.
A local place, rather than all those Internet sites, where you can go in and actually explain everything you do and don't want - which I think is a bonus.

I came here once and was surprised at how much there was to see. It was only a one hour tour, but there was so much information in each gallery that I stayed longer. The museum is located near the mall and I would definitely recommend it for anyone with an interest in history.

I came here a lot during high school because it was cheaper than going to Boston Billiards. There are plenty of tables and a few arcade games, even though I’ve never seen anyone actually playing them. I still go to shoot pool because it’s so affordable and such a comfortable place to visit.

Gotta dance is a small shop, but it seems to have everything. I used to buy ballet slippers there, but they also have leotards, skirts, and anything else you'd need for a dance class. The people that work there are wonderful and will go out of their way to help you.

If you need any type of athletic gear you will probably be able to find it here. EMS carries high-quality merchandise that is the latest in technology. I've been able to get some great stuff for skiing and cold-weather gear. I also got a nice jacket that is lightweight and waterproof - perfect for those kind of misty days in the spring and summer. If you know anyone who is into outdoor activities you may want to get them some gear at EMS or even pick up a giftcard.

WE HAVE RENTED TENTS FROM DURANTS FOR SEVERAL PARTIES AT OUR HOME AND HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY. THEY USUALLY INSTALL THEM A DAY OR TWO BEFORE THE EVENT AND REMOVE THEM A DAY OR TWO AFTER SO AS NOT TO IMPOSE ON THE EVENT. THE GUYS ARE VERY FAST AND COURTEOUS. THEY DO OFFER MANY OTHER ITEMS TO RENT FOR PARTIES. THEY HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR MANY YEARS.

Dugout Dreams has a great selection of cards as well as memorabilia. I used to come here all the time when I collected baseball and hockey cards. They had all the accessories to hold the cards and I was able to score some autographed cards here a few times as well. I took my younger cousins here a few years ago and they bought as many Pokemon cards as they could carry out.

I couldn’t wait for this place to open and when it finally did, I was not disappointed. Parking is ample and is not expensive at all. The facility is huge and is a fun place to go with family and kids! I’ve taken my younger cousins here whenever they visit from New York and it’s always their favorite part of the visit to Connecticut.
