THE JUDGEMENT OF NOAH'S ARK > Danbury CT
Has anyone heard of Nick De Vere? Because I was so upset with this animal hospital that I wrote to Him about it.
Noah's Ark Hospital is a terrible farce. The two reviews which were deep enough and honest enough to bring criticism are correct. At first, it seems clean and friendly.
My cat had a leg wound which had not been properly cleaned & sewn up by a decrepit area Emergency Hospital. It got infection sewn in to it; and I took my cat to board at Noah's Ark because my usual, wonderful vet did not have a nursing boarding staff to watch her. (My vet recommended I take her to Tuft's University in Massachusetts, but due to extenuating circumstances I wouldn't be able to drive up there right away.)
When I first dropped her off I was in a terrible hurry; and I hesitated because the doctor at Noah's Ark, said the leg might have to come off and he viciously pumped it up and down; not gentle at all. I do not call it gentle; and if you feel he is gentle then there is also something wrong with you, too.
Because of that suspicion, I ran back to check on her within a two days. HE then told me she didn't look good at all and asked me if I wanted to put her down. He had promised before to give her sedatives and pain killers, and she looked in excruciating pain. I know that pain can kill. SO I asked Why haven't you given her pain killers LIKE YOU PROMISED? and He answered Well I thought that might kill her. You can pay to put her to down HUH???
Then he said that she had quickly developed severe pancreatic problems and heart murmur and was rapidly going down hill since coming to him.
Then I examined her closely and found that there was lots of FLUID GATHERING UNDER HER SKIN. Turns out these issues were due to the vet assistant shooting fluids in wrong, missing her veins and not noticing. She was going into

I have been taking my dog and cat to Noah's Ark for a few years and have had nothing but exceptional service. Dr. Leitner really listens and cares about my pets health. I also love the boarding facility. It is so clean and I know my pets are getting lots of attention and love while they stay. Everyone there seems really nice and they all seem to know a lot. I rate this vet with an A++++

At first glance I thought that Noahs Ark would be a good place to board my animal who has medical needs. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. The problem that I see is that the staff they have taking care of animals who have medical needs are just kennel workers. They do not have the skills necessary to provide medical intervention if necessary. They also do not keep track of how much your animal is eatting, drinking and eliminating which can be critical in the care of a medical needs animal.
PROS: Place is clean and staff is friendly
CONS: Medical board is not staffed by people who can provide medical attention.
