Its a different kind of bowling....with different rules. It's NOT "only for kids" and in some ways is more challenging than ordinary bowling....easier to start, and more difficult to master. ...and of course, very kid friendly because the balls are small and light and the pins aren't as skinny as candlepins.
Strikes are less common, and the perfect game has never been rolled,so it's obviously a challenging game for those who want to try it along with their kids.
Yes, the place is run down, but duckpins seem to be disappearing from the face of the earth so that's no surprise.
I doubt that there are any ultra Neutron Core Super Devastator Techno Balls with personalized carry bags being manufactured either.
It's more of a Baltimore thing than a New England thing....

If you are from New England, you are probably familiar with duck pin bowling. If not, you are in for a bit of a surprise. Danbury Duck Pin Lanes has the typical set up -- small bowling balls, the funky little pins. This style of bowling is particularly good for people who have a hard time finding the right size/weight bowling ball in the "other" lanes. The lanes themselves are nothing to write home about. I mean, it's not a fancy state-of-the-art place but that is what makes it appealing. If you are looking for a fun afternoon, try going here. Definitely recommend it for people with children.

As was said before, this really is a kids only deal. The lanes and balls are small, there's nothing there other than bowling, and the hours are rather odd. For kids though, it works just fine. The parties there are alright, and they give little trophies to the birthday kid. Anyone else, go to New Milford to bowl.

This place isn't your regular bowling alley. It's only for kids. The balls are tiny and they fit into the palm of your hand. It's a little run down here if you ask me. It's good for birthday parties because it's small and no one can get lost, but If you're looking for real bowling, go to a real bowling alley, not here. This place is only open at strange hours too I think. Not too sure. Give them a call to check.
