It is such a treat to find a unique place to hang out, grab a bite and enjoy a fine beverage. This little hidden gem is new to Dana Point (they have another location in San Clemente) and I am so glad to have found it. Great customer service behind the counter, comfortable spots to loung (no pun intended) both inside and outside, super tasty baked goods and of course, you can find anything your heart desires tea-wise. The owner hand blends small batches of the tea and is happy to put something special together for you. The tea is always very fresh and the cute tins make an easy hostess gift. I just love this place!
Pros: super fresh tea, good gifts
Cons: park in back

In a world where coffee rules and a person can never be more than two blocks from a Starbucks, the Lavender Lounge Tea Company is a refreshing break from mediocrity, an exciting deviation from the norm. Whether I'm in the mood to explore some new blend Des is working on, or just enjoy my usual San ClemenTEA (a perfect peach apricot ceylon) with mango texture and a good conversation with one of my favorite tea-tenders, you can always find me there, usually more than once a day. The peaceful atmosphere and friendly faces are a constant draw, and whether you're 14 or 41, i promise you you'll find something you like, i always do.

Whether you're looking to dine in or simply shop their selection of teas, you've come to the right place. I went there to write and found a peaceful, mid-afternoon repose on a Sunday afternoon. I enjoyed their "Angel's Dream" tea (truly heavenly, as the name implies) and a slice of Lavender Vanilla Ice Cream cake (care of the Baskin Robbins store downstairs). I also left with a tin of tea to enjoy at home. The atmosphere is serene and the staff aims to please.
