It is always hard to judge buffets. Especially one that serves Brazilian BBQ, Sushi, and Dim Sum. Make up your mind and do ONE really good instead of 3 semi-decent types of food.

This place serves up Japanese and American food in large quantities. Basically, you pay, you get a plate, you enter the buffet line, you find a seat, and you eat! A waiter wil come around to ask which beverage you want to wash down the food. As can be expected, the dinner buffet costs more than the lunch, so you make the call. There are many meat (beef and chicken) and vegetable dishes to try. Of course, you have to try the fruit crepes for desert. Yum.

I've tried Todai twice now, just to make sure my first visit wasn't a fluke. It wasn't.
You can expect very rubbery sushi, sometimes with a faintly unpleasant fishy (not fresh) odor... salty and fried hot food... generally decent fruit... tasty desserts.
Is it worth $14 for an all-you-can-eat lunch? If you're REALLY hungry, then it *might* be worth it. >$25 for dinner is definitely not worth it.
With that said... in contrast with other reviews I've read, I found the waitstaff to be quite friendly and helpful.
Pros: all-you-can-eat, easy, free parking, cute desserts
Cons: sushi's pretty lousy, dinner's expensive, tea not free

I love Todai even though I've been there only once (if i lived closer, i'd be there all the time). Their sushi bar is unbelievable (it's so huge). That was the first time I actually tasted sushi and liked it. I love their California rolls and Philadelphia rolls (plus they make everything right in front of you). Next, I went to the main course place where their seafood, fried rice, and noodles were awesome. I can't forget the egg rolls. One mistake you can easily make at Todai is not leaving enough room in your stomach for the crepe and dessert bar. They make the crepes right in front of you and you have a variety of toppings to choose from. The dessert bar - well that's a whole different story. I seriously felt like I was in Paris standing in front of that bar. It's like too good to eat all those yummy cakes.

We made reservation since it was a party of 8, otherwise we will have to wait in the long line. When you go there you need to make sure that you are really hungry to get your money worth. The servers are quick and very attentive. You don't have privacy though if you plan to have a party there, besides grouping you on the corner with partially covered wall.
