Our experience at Patsy's was wonderful. They made a last minute appointment for us when my mother and sister got flights to help me dress shop. Torie listened to what we liked and disliked about gowns and brought out several we had looked over at the beginning. She also did a wonderful job of explaining fabrics, designers, and pairing veils and accessories with the dresses. Overall we had a wonderful experience.
Pros: personal attention, beautiful dresses
Cons: none

I fell in love with Patsy's the moment I walked in. I felt very comfortable and welcomed. I had an appointment with Christian and Sherri. I cannot believe how wonderful and accomodating they both were. I went with half of my bridal party and my mom. Christian could tell how stressed I was and took time to calm my nerves. She assured me I would walk out a happy bride, and she was RIGHT! Sherri was so knowledgeable and helpful. All the details that I wanted the two of them made happen! We were all carrying different opinions in what my dress should look like. The only place that made all of us agree and most of us cry was Patsy's. After I picked my dress, I received a call the next week to confirm all the details and ordering information. The follow up was so fast and efficiant. I couldn't imagine shopping ANYWHERE else in Dallas. This place is a gem!
Pros: Exquisite, unique, and customized gowns. Great service!
Cons: None!

In a snobby town anyway, it's saying a lot that one place in particular goes above and beyond in snobbery. Shopping at Patsy's is a terrible experience unless you fit into their narrow definition of exactly what a Dallas bride should be. I wish I was exaggerating, but this place made me feel like I shouldn't even bother trying on wedding gowns. I would NEVER give them any $ (even though the flower girl dresses I now want are sold there, I'm going out of state instead). The joke is entirely on Patsy's, though - after escaping with my self-esteem in shreds, I went to a higher-end salon that treated me a thousand times better, and ended up spending twice as much on a gown as the one I tried on in their store. Ha!
Pros: ?????
Cons: The service is terrible - unbearably snobby

I was immediately greeted upon entering which is a major thing to me. I hate it when I feel that people don't want my business! However, I was greeted and helped by Heather Bonfield who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She gave me her undivided attention, spent close to an hour, hour and a half helping me find the perfect veil...I had purchased my gown at another bridal salon in another state. That didn't matter to her, she treated my experience buying a custom couture veil like I was purchasing a gown!! She had great ideas and we ended up creating a fabulous mix of a traditional and modern mantilla veil...And when my custom veil arrived, I was called promptly..Try Heather...she is great!!
Pros: Small...can be intimate
Cons: Small...could get cramped if the salon was full

I don't usually respond to these boards, but I don't get the previous users comments. I went to Patsy's and I was on a budget but was treated with excellent customer service. They do carry high-end designers but I bought my gown at a trunk show when it was on sale. I think their customer service is first rate -- very personable.
Pros: Service, Selection

Great dresses at fairly good prices. The customer service was pretty bad. I dont have the biggest budget to work with, but I can more than afford to shop there. I kinda felt that because I didn't look a certain way(blond hair, blue eyes, perfect size 6) assumptions were made about what I could afford...in other words they were pretty snobbish. I need a dress shop where the people there have an interest in making be feel and look beautiful on my big day, whether I spend 2,000 or 5,000, and I just didn't get it there. I kinda knew better, than you go there anyway. I'm a size 10, but when my size 14 best friend went there 5 years ago, they told her that they probably didn't have anything to fit her and that they ONLY place she could find a dress to fit her was David's bridal. This wasn't true . At another shop, they were able to order the dress from the designer she wanted ($250 cheaper than their shop)

I didn't know what rating to give this shop because it's not that it was bad or good, it just wasn't for me. I went with a friend to shop for a wedding gown, and this place is not messing around. You have to make an appointment to shop there, and when you get there an employee is assigned to you. This is good if you're a serious shopper, but can be uncomfortable if you're not. The gowns are designer, and are expensive ($3000 +). Like I said, if you're having a designer wedding, you should go here. If not, steer clear.
