After traveling to Dallas for my 3 year anniversary, my husband and I will be life-long customers of this hotel. The complimentary happy hour was fantastic and the milk and cookies every night were oh so adorable. We had a Deluxe room and we felt very posh there. The bed was extremely comfortable and luxurious with pillow shams and an upholstered headboard. The hotel definitely makes you feel as if you are staying somewhere quite special.

This is a hidden gem. Literaly hidden, in the back of Hotel Lumen. Their are no signs on the street and can be a little hard to find. But it's well worth it. I've been their a couple of times, the first for dinner. We started with mac & cheese and artichoke dip, both were outstanding. Then I had the filet, this was one of the best i've ever had, Served with a flavorful port reduction and veggies, not just veggies, asparagus and baby carrots are the standard veggie side.
I've been back several times for drinks, It has more of an upscale tavern feel so I felt right at home just having a few cocktails with friends. All in all, I've found a new place to hang out or bring a date. My new favorite.
Pros: Still not to busy, awsome service, free valet
Cons: hard to find the first time

My wife and I recently had dinner at the Melrose Hotel here in Dallas. Another couple invited us to join them for an early dinner as they had received a promotional flyer for a Twilight Menu.
This was first class all the way...the food was amazing and the servers were friendly and gracious that we didn't want the night to end...if you live in Dallas and you have not tried this restaurant, you are missing out on one of the best!
Pros: First class all the way
Cons: no cons...but get your parking validated

We didn’t stay in the hotel, or eat in the restaurant, or enjoy drinks in the bar, but we did take a quick elevator ride up 55 stories to get a view from atop the Reunion Tower in Dallas, Texas.
To go to the observation desk cost $2 for adults. It wasn’t a very popular tourist destination on a Tuesday mid-day – so we had plenty of room (and time) to enjoy the view. The inside of the observation desk area was sort of run down. The tower was built in the late 1970s and it doesn’t appear to have been updated since. But the view from outside was very nice. You could easily see the area where Kennedy was assassinated from this view.
If you want something cheap to do and want to see views of the downtown Dallas area, then I recommend checking out the Reunion Tower at the Hyatt Regency.

The mansion is really nice and they take care of everything. It is definitely pricy but I would say it is worth it as a splurge hotel. Dallas does not have a real central area or geographic feature that hotels need to be near to be nice, the Mansion just tries to take care of everything you might need and make itself nice that way and it really does a good job.
Pros: Really great service
Cons: Expensive

I love the Hilton Anatole. I love admiring the gorgeous Asian Art that lines the entryways and embellishes the walls. It's also fun to walk around the huge sculpture park outside. And the gym! So not your typical hotel gym. This place rivals most chain-gyms. You'll get an amazing workout for your travel weary body at the Verandah Club. I highly recommend staying at the Hilton Anatole.
Pros: good service, food, entertainment

One of my most memorable birthdays was here at this hotel. The Dome Lounge atop Reunion Tower was the best place to celebrate my 18th birthday! I was able to enjoy my birthday with my family overlooking the Dallas skyline.
