The Science Place mostly caters to school kids as evident by the school field trips any given day. IT takes a hands on approach to science and lets students conduct experiments and experience science first hand Grown ups can also participate, thus making it a great family experience. If time permits, go see an IMAX movie. While this theater is not as impressive as the Omni theater in Fort Worth, it is still fun.

I always like Science Place. I have visited a lot of different science place in different states. Dallas is a pretty good one. Besides exhibition, they provided two kinds of shows -- laser and electricity. Both are very impressive. They also have demonstration during the weekend which can be very education. Besides, they have the moving exhibition that they borrowed from other places. Most of them are very good. The one I saw last time is a planetary ones. It was excellent. I like their main floor (2nd floor) better than the one in 1st floor. It is a very good place to spend the weekend with your kids.

They also have a round screen IMAX theatre where you can lie back and watch the show on the real big screen. Buy tickets for both admission and IMAX combo package to save some money.
