This is the first time in 15 years I am moving (I detest the word exercise) in an "exercise" setting. I heard great things from friends, have checked it out, and now I am hooked! I love the dance classes! Knowledgeable instructors help out either by walking around and suggesting how to better do the movement, or by showing different levels of movement from the front. I have found all sizes and shapes in the classes - yes, most are more slender and thinner than me, but i never feel unwelcome. I am free to concentrate on myself and my movement so i can really enjoy it.
The atmosphere is peaceful and tranquil. There wonderful pictures and sayings all around are supportive and life affirming. They have a boutique that sells gifts along the sames lines. I relish that there are lockers available to store away my personal things - with a key that i can pin to my clothing if necessary. Everything is clean, too! The more i am there, the more i love it - i look forward to making it a dance sanctuary for me.
they also offer workshops on various topics - i have become a big fan of the chakra workshops, and recently participated in one on "a new earth". that they focus on alternative and holistic ideas helps me to relax even more in this environment.
Pros: everything!
Cons: nothing

I had never taken yoga before getting pregnanat. I took prenatal yoga throughout my ENTIRE pregnancy and it was amazing. The health benefits were only outweighed by the emotion and mental benefits. I had a very easy pregnancy with no health problems and i am 100% sure it was in a large part due to my yoga practice at MoveStudio. My teacher had an amazing understanding of her teachings, and was always willing to listen and help in any way possible. I have now been taking mommy and me postnatal yoga, and love it as well. My daughter is getting too old for the class and I have already started looking into other classes for me to take there. i cant imagine not going to MoveStudo once a week for class! it has becaome a part of my everyday life and I have loved every experience I have had there!
Pros: EVERYTIHNG!!
Cons: None!

as a dance-junkie, i've tried many of the places in dallas and hands down, movestudio offers best dance class options, instructors and environment in dallas. i don't know anywhere else where you can take yoga, belly dance, hip hop, pilates and a bunch of other classes all under one roof. the staff and instructors are wonderful. they really care about their clientele. excellent customer service. highly recommended.
Pros: love the new boutique- beautiful art, gifts, etc... great staff. caring instructors. i feel appreciated
Cons: sometimes, especially on weekends, parking lot is pretty full, but i always find a spot, maybe a short walk away.

These classes are adults-only, which is a great atmosphere for anyone returning to dance classes after a long break. There is a great variety of classes (NIA, yoga, Pilates, ballet, jazz, modern) and teachers. Class cards are moderately-priced and a relatively good deal, especially if you attend a few times a week.

I went to Move Studio for Pilates a few Summers ago. They offer so many classes that I was happy that they could meet my then demanding schedule while trying to lose baby weight. Other than doing pilates from videos at home, this was my first introduction. I didn't make it through the first class, because it was tough, but I did hang in there, and the instructor worked with me once she saw my dedication. If it wasn't so far away, that is where I would still be going.
