I recently consigned quite a bit of clothing at ReThreads. Most was accepted, and some sold. When I picked up the rejected clothing, however, I was in for a surprise. Some of the items were tagged with their reasons for rejection, worst of all a label with a drawing of a baby chick and the word "cheap!" I was offended by this labeling of my nice like new clothes. I will not consign here again.

I have shopped for and consigned clothes at Rethreads. I guess this is just not the consignment store for me. The clothing is below what you would find at a garage sale. It is not surprising that there aren't many designer clothes. I tried to consign some of my bridge label clothes as well as casual clothes. Only the casual clothes were accepted. I went to another consignment store down the street and all of my clothes were accepted. Like I said, just not for me.

I find a lot of new and nearly new items at this store at great prices. The people I work with and even strangers have ask me where I found my outfits, shoes, handbags, etc... They have everything from contemporary to classic items to fit my every mood. When ever I need something for a special occasion I stop a Rethreads first.

Sorry, but I must take exception to the negative review on ReThreads, where I have both purchased items and consigned items for a number of years. The physical plant is clean and orderly and despite the high number of items for sale, it is well inspected and kept current, as to style and pricing. You can find great bargains at great prices from friendly people. Really now, what else can you ask for??

I've been shopping at Rethreads since 1977. Under its current owner who became the proprietor in 1986, this gem has thrived and reached the zenith of the re-sale world. The best brand names in the world--Hermes, Charvet, Oxford, and the list is far too long to complete--are available in this well-managed and well-staffed, one-of-a-kind store. Having the shopped the world over, I am unaware of a single peer. Criticism of the store or its employees would truly be an anomaly. I would strongly urge you to visit as I have from New York many times a year.

I read a very disturbing and untrue comment about the rethreads store today in judysbook. so in all fairness to the store I must rebut. I have been a frequent shopper at the store for more than twenty years and my last purchase was 4/13/06. I have wardrobed my family of 4 boys and one girl and wife from this store for all these years. only the best of the best clothes are sold in rethreads, with 35% of them new and the rest are very slithtly used. it is mandatory that they all be freshly cleaned and ready to be worn at time of purcashe. if you want to dress with style then rethreads is the place to shop. versace, calvin, ralph, donna k, zenela, calni, and all designers in that catagory and below are in the store. the prices are the best in the country, the customer service is top notch, with in house tailoring. the shoes are the best brands made all in the same catagory as the famous bruno magli shoe. this is how important the rethreads store is to the city of Dallas, without rethreads i would not be able to afford to dress like I do and i have been told that I am the best dressed man that some people in my circle of preachers have seen in Dallas, Texas.

This store is pretty no frills and to the point. They sell used clothing and shoes, and that's pretty much it. The selection is alright, nothign amazing. Unfortunately the clothing selection does not put up much competition against the local Goodwill store. Much of the clothing is very old, it makes you wonder how long its been sitting at the store collecting dust. Every now and then, you will find something made in this century and in pretty good condition. I don't think I'd touch any of the shoes though, they're usually very old and worn.
