Good: The wide choice of birds and the health and condition of the birds seems to be excellent. If there were more bird stores in the area, their staff might be inspired to treat customers better. As it is, some staff members feel they must make customers feel as if they are doing them a favor to let them spend 100's or 1000's of dollars to buy birds from them. One of my birds was killed by one of my dogs and one of the workers was VERY kind to me. Another was openly rude and insulting regarding the situation.. Bad: Manner in which some paying customers are treated. The owner seems to have no interest in correcting the coldness with which certain staff members treat certain customers. It appears that one or two staff members who are there most of the time are allowed to treat customers as rudely as they like if they think they can get away with it.The owner herself seems to be nice enough, but she is seldom there and unfortunately often leaves the store in the hands of a worker who has very weak people skills.. Improvements: Better treatment of ALL customers and perhaps keeping workers who are not customer-friendly in the back with the birds.Better communication between owner and workers would be nice..they all tell you something different and then deny they said anything later when you act on what you were told.
At a business where I now buy my bird food, in the first 5 minutes, I was told more valuable information about my birds than in weeks of dealing with Tree Top. Moreover, I was treated with kindness and friendliness .. Other: Tree Top Bird Center is a bird store, but some of their workers behave as if it is a bird shelter. There are a few workers who are openly rude to certain customers that they feel should not have birds. At Tree Top, certain workers behave as if they are always right and rather than having a helpful attitude toward customers, certain of them have no qualms about insulting customers to their faces and having a sullen and unwelcoming attitude towards them..

I started going to Treetop Bird Center about one and a half years ago because I was thinking about adding another bird to the family. We were allowed to visit the baby bird any day of the week for as long as the store was open. Information was abundant and we were very happy. Recently I bought a CAG that I fell in love with at the store. We're so very happy with the attention and time given to us. In addition, last week we boarded all three of our precious birdies for five days. They were all happy and well attended during their stay.
This store has birds as tiny as finches and as large as Macaws and all of these birds are treated with love and respect by the staff.

We had been shopping around for a while. We visited all 3 of the "major" bird centers and Tree Top won hands down. Their prices are lower, the staff is friendlier, the owner is always on site and backs everything she sells. And their knowledge is AMAZING! They are so very careful with the care of their birds - it is very comforting. All birds are disease tested and hand fed. They have volunteers that come in and handle the birds until they are sold to be sure that all the birds are well socialized.
We bought our Blue & Gold Macaw at 4 weeks old and visited her at Tree Top daily until she was ready to come home. They knew our names the first day we walked back in and knew which bird was ours! We also bought our Blue Fronted Amazon shortly there-after from them. Both of our girls are wonderful!
I simply can't say enough good things about Debbie, her staff, and her store! The other stores don't compare.

My wife and I bought our first pet, Umberto (named after Italian author Umberto Eco) today at the Tree Top Bird Center. This is a top notch business!!! The people there were so nice and helpful. And we were there on what has to be the busiest day of the week. There were kids and parents everywhere, but we were treated as if we were the only people in the store. Since we have never owned a bird before, we had a lot of questions and they had great answers to them all. They may be slightly more expensive than Petsmart, but the little parakeet we bought has been hand feed since it was born and we have been able to handle him like he's known us for years since we were at the store. You don't get that at Petsmart.
