Angry Dog is an great place to go if you are hungry for a burger. They are located in Deep Ellum, and there can be a line to get in at lunch time on weekdays. If you are willing to sit at the bar, the wait time isn't long. I've never ordered anything that wasn't delicious. They have really good burgers and hot dogs as well as a great selection of beer. The place is really laid back, and the wait staff is really friendly.

This is the best burger and beer joint in all of Dallas. I actually met my wife here 13 years ago so I have a fondness for it. Besides that, this is an awesome "meet" market, and the burgers, wings and even the salads are top notch. The tacos are even serviceable. Excellent bar staff and nice waitresses. They have a ton of beer on tap and more in bottles. They even have shuffleboard and a separate darts room. Open every night of the week. Can get extremely busy on Friday and Saturday nights when it really turns more into a bar. Wins Observer Awards all the time.

I realize there are a lot of burger joints in the world today and it may be a bold statement to claim "best" anything, but The Angry Dog in Deep Ellum (east of downtown Dallas) is seriously the best burger I've tasted in Dallas. Perhaps even the best burger I've had anywhere. From what I hear their hot dog is pretty decent as well, but I've never strayed from the burger after having it my very first time. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it!) If you go for lunch during the week, you'd be wise to go a bit early if you don't want to wait awhile because. lots of business people from downtown like to head over there for lunch.
