The Alfresco ambiance and Thai folks there said it all, They are the best.
Order some beef green curry that goes well with steam rice, if you haven't taste some from them, I promise you they are superb. Sweet and sour Fried bass are great too. At the end don't forget their coconut milk desert to round up your meal, it's just divine. This deserts are bad for the weaker stomach that are not used to coconut milk though.

I use to live in some apartments near this restaurant. It is located in a shopping strip. The inside is decorated so nice. They have a tiny bar area. A few tables where you can sit outside. Every dish I have gotten or shared there was great. My current favorites are the soup, tom kha gai, and the tulip dumplings.

I'll get it out here at the beginning. I'm not a big Thai food fan. But my wife loves this place. I admit to really enjoying the ambiance, and the service was great. I can't comment on the quality of food because I don't really like it in general, but my wife seemed to really like it. The restaurant is in a strange location but once you're inside, it's nice. If you like Thai, I highly recommend it. If not, you may still enjoy the atmosphere.

I have been to many Thai restaurants around the country and Royal Thai is by far the best. I truly love the pad Thai and the peanut chicken as well as the imperial spring rolls and fried bananas. Their Thai ice tea is excellent as well. This place is a must for any Thai food lover. Royal Thai has the best Mongolian Beef in town, watch out for the red peppers!! Also, you can not leave without trying the corn patties, the best I have eaten in DFW.
