The greatest history lesson this museum can give is to let doubters look through that ill fated sixth floor window and see that Lee Harvey Oswald could indeed have had an easy and clear shot at JFK, dispelling foggy conspiracies faster than analyses and computer models generated by hacks. The local tidbits on JFK's final hours in Dallas are of mild note.
PROS: excellent history lesson

This museum is a must see. It celebrates the life of John F Kennedy and is in a national landmark district where the asassination occured. The museum includes many photographs and different films and information on Kennedy and the assination of our former president. It is very eerie to be in a place where you know someone was murdered, though this place is very informative and has many tourists every year.

The museum, which is housed in the old Texas Schoolbook Depository where Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly perched to shoot the president, is more than about Kennedy's assassination. You'll see exhibits on the social and political situation in the early 1960s and the reasons behind his ill-fated trip to Texas in 1963. The highlight of the tour is the corner window, where Oswald stood. It has been made up to look like it probably did that day in November. Their is also a small viewing room where you can see video from that day of the president. For many this is a hard memory to relive. They have a scale model of Dealey Plaza that the Warren Commission used in its investigation. Audio tours are available if necessary.

This is said to be where the alleged killer, Lee Harvey Oswald fired the lethal shots to John F. Kennedy.

The Sixth Floor Museum is a unique and interesting compilation of data on JFK, his life and his death. However, I found it to be very intense, not in a bad way but young children could not comprehend what this means to our nation, past or present. They may become bored or even overwhelmed with all there is to see here. And that would take away from this unique experience for adults. If you go, you have to go all the way through to get to the journal books at the end where you can write your reflections on what you've seen and heard.
Pros: important history, not one sided views, unique
Cons: , gift shop
