If you visit this place, you have to try their signature dish--the Ahi tuna tower. It's a tower loaded with lots of goodies and tastes creamy with a bit of a kick. It comes out beautifully decorated and they mix it up right in front of you (you feel a little sad to see it all mushed up, but then after you taste it, you definitely don't feel bad). The salmon heaven, yellowtail heaven, sashimi salad, miso soup were terrific. Complement your meal with some flavored sake. The pineapple sake was good. They also have a $1 sushi special with a $5 minimum. Don't let the location fool you. It's located inside the Clarion hotel, right off the highway. But once you're inside, the staff will take great care of you. Pros: Creative dishes, great sushi quality Cons: There's only one restaurant

I'm a big Sushi fan, and expect when a restaurant is touting a 'special' it's not the top of the line product, but, one they want to move-not so at The Sushi Bar - their $1 Sushi Special features a wide variety -and it's among the freshest sushi I've had since moving to the DFW area. This place is definitely worth the trip-the staff is very very friendly, and the owner and the chef tend to remember me when I come in. You don't get that too much anymore. This is a great place for a business lunch-quick service and very affordable. Pros: Great service, Great Sushi! Cons: None

I have been to the sushi bar a few times and each time it has been excellent. I recently went for lunch with my husband and had the avocado and spicy tuna rolls. The owner was there and remembered us which was amazing becasue he had not seen us since they opened. I only wish my husband was a sushi lover so I could have tried more items on the menu and that I had more disposable income to go at least once a week. This is my favorite in Dallas and I have been to many. Pros: Really good food Cons: Wish they were located downtown

I would not recommend The Sushi Bar to others. I have tried many sushi restaurants in the Dallas area and my experience was below par. I went during lunch (I work nearby) and was disappointed that there were few choices for their $1 sushi specials. My server was very slow on drink refills, greeting, and overall service, despite it being an early, not-so-crowded lunch. The sushi was okay (not as fresh as I had imagined). I can only hope that this was an isolated incident, however, I have already had a bad experience there... not so encouraged to revisit.
