This place is really a well hidden hole in the wall. After reading several good reviews on Yelp I decided to check this place out myself. I have actually been there once more since. My first time I had the Pad Kee Maw Chicken which was very very good. If you want to try any dish, I would highly suggest the Pad Kee Maw, its what got me hooked!
My second time I had the Pad Thai. It was a little sweet for my taste but still very delicious and reasonably priced. I also love the mango sticky rice desert, as well as the Tom Yum soup. I really love Thai food, and I am very glad I discovered this restaurant in Dallas. It is great whenever I am in town.

Ah and yes. I need to mention that they have excellent thai ice tea! We even tried to ordering a different version that you can get in thailand which is thai tea minus the cream plus lime juice (called Cha Manow in Thai). It just makes me miss home.
During our dinner, the owner came and greet us. He recommended that we topped our evening off with green tea ice cream. We were glad we did.
Needless to say, we be back again!
Pros: Delicious food and great service,
Cons: Too far from home

If you've ever been curious about Thai food this is the best place to go it's perfect Thai Restaurant. The menu is loaded with all of the traditional dishes you'd expect, and it does all of them excellently. Furthermore, unlike many Thai restaurants, Thaitanee is willing to play with tradition. A few of their dishes are unique to their menu. I highly recommend Spicy big noodle ( Pat-Kee-mow) it?s one of the dish that I?ve never forgot and the price is very reasonable. There's really nothing to complain about. I?m a vegetarian, so all the food that I?ve ordered have to be clean and do exactly what I need to be. If you are one of the pickiest people like me don't worry simply just tell them what you want to have.
About the service is also excellent. If you plan to have a party over there I believe you will not be disappointed.
Pros: Best in town

Praise the Lord and Pass the Thai Tea.
For almost two years now, Jennifer C and I have been (almost) daily lunch buddies. Most of the time we enjoy the same things (mushrooms should be their own food group) and hate the same things (eggs? carrots? blech).
But there are a few things I absolutely love... that I usually have to either eat at night for dinner or on those rare lunches when she is stuck in a meeting or out of town. Things like seafood (and sushi), Indian food, Guacamole and up until about three months ago... Thai food was on that list.
This is where Thai Tanee comes in. Finally! Thai food that pleases both of our palates. I have tried the Red Chicken Curry, the Pad Kee Mow and the Pad Thai. My biggest and only complaint from these three dishes is that they do not put Peanuts in their Pad Thai. To me, it just needs that salty crunch.
Thai Tanee is a tad bit of a drive from my office and walking distance from Jenn's so I have to decide what I want before I leave and we leave at the same time and she orders for me... so that our order is almost ready by the time I get there and just eating Thai food doesn't turn into a two hour lunch.
The soup of the day rotates throughout the week. I think Mondays is a Vegetable Soup. Thursdays is Egg Drop Soup... which is when we ended up here more than once. She usually orders the salad, but we both hate eggs, so we have planned to now only go to Thai Tanee on Fridays. On Fridays, they have a coconut vegetable soup that is just delicious.
Their Thai Teas are so delicious I could drink probably three of them easily, but since they are not only 700 calories each... they also do not have free refills. So we have had to start ordering water with our meal and then ordering our Thai Tea to go so that we can enjoy them on the way back to work... without the temptation of ordering a second or third or forth.
Thank you Thai Tanee for adding Thai food back into my lunches.

I was near the Galleria yesterday, and saw a Thai restaurant, Thai Tanee, on Alpha Rd-so I went in - they have a great lunch menu-I had the corn cakes and ginger beef - you can taste each touch of flavor-the owner is also the chef, and he comes to each table to ensure that you're satisfied with the meal. Thai Tanee is HIGH on my list of favorite Lunch Spots!
Pros: Unique Thai Dishes
Cons: none

Thai is a favorite of mine and my girlfriend, so we're always up to trying new Thai restaurants. After all the rave reviews found on yelp, we checked this place out. The restaurant wasn't busy at all on a Friday night, with only three other tables besides ours.
The waitress/hostess was EXTREMELY nice and helpful. Knew exactly when to come by, fill up our drinks, and pack up leftovers.
We ordered the Pad Kee Mow, which was some of the best tasting we've ever tried. Thumbs up on this dish..seriously. I also ordered the Red Snapper in 3 flavored sauce. One of the BEST preparations of fish I've had. The fish was deep fried and then covered in a sweet, sticky, and spicy sauce with an assortment of diced vegetables. Served with a side of rice, I almost finished the whole dish myself. The fish had and nicely crisp and crunchy crust and moist, juicy fish on the inside. I love it!
We also ordered Tom Kha soup, which was good, but I think I prefer Tom Yum. Just personal preference, but the soup was very fragrant and rich with coconut goodness...a good preparation.
Pros: THUMB UP&EXTREMELY SERVICE

A few months ago, a friend of mine moved from NYC to Dallas and was disappointed by the lack of good Thai food in his area. I did a little research and stumbled upon the reviews for Thai Tanee and decided to surprise him with a delivery of his favorite dish. There is only one catch...I happen to be located in southern Florida.
Not to worry...Tee at Thai Tanee went above and beyond the call of good customer service. The surprise -and of course the food- was a big success.
If Tee is willing to go to these lengths for someone so far away, I can only imagine the attention given to his local customers. Wonderful customer service and according to my friend, perfectly seasoned, good Thai food put Thai Tanee on my 'must see' list if I ever find myself in the Dallas area.
Pros: Excellent customer service
