The chips at Blue Mesa are deadly. I have some self control issues around chips in general, if they are in front of me I eat them. No sweet tooth or many other vices but chips are my downfall and the ones at Blue Mesa are irresistable.
They are known for their weekend brunch. I think it is good but not as great as some folks.
Pros: Their chips are amazing
Cons: A little expensive for what you are getting

Just got back from dinner here, and will be the LAST TIME I go to this restaurant! Got in at 6:15, signed up on waiting list , and was told it would be 30-45 minute wait. OK. Bar was completely PACKED full of people for happy hour, so got a couple of drinks and waited with pager outside on patio. And waited. And waited! An hour and 20 minutes later(!!!) we finally got seated, after checking again and again where we were on the list. Turns out the restaurant had 3 private parties booked, which turned their normal seating capacity into just 8(!!!) tables, and instead of being honest and forthright when we arrived, just neglected to mention the private parties and lied about the wait time. By the time we left at 8:45, I didn't enjoy the food, and had the worst headache, and felt really miserable after, and do not plan on repeating this. Which is sad, because it used to be my favorite restaurant in Dallas, and we had been going to it for years and years. No mas!
Pros: Good food
Cons: Can't decide whether it's a bar or restaurant

We had a brunch for about 50 people there and it was great. A semi-private room made it just perfect to slip in and out and have privacy. The food and drinks are excellent with creative options available. If you like southwest cuisine this place is a must. It's also great for happy hours. They are very accommodating.

I really enjoyed my experience at Blue Mesa Grill. I thought it was a bit pricey, but very worth the money. They had a great variety and we enjoyed our meal very much.

Blue Mesa Grill is one of the best places in Dallas to go for a top notch Sunday brunch. They have the traditional waffles, omelets, fruit, and pastries. However, you must try the other Mexican inspired offerings. Top off the experience with a Mimosa or Poinsettia drink. Don't come when you're in a hurry. There's usually a wait on Sunday brunch but it's worth it! Food here is great every day of the week.
