We didn’t stay in the hotel, or eat in the restaurant, or enjoy drinks in the bar, but we did take a quick elevator ride up 55 stories to get a view from atop the Reunion Tower in Dallas, Texas.
To go to the observation desk cost $2 for adults. It wasn’t a very popular tourist destination on a Tuesday mid-day – so we had plenty of room (and time) to enjoy the view. The inside of the observation desk area was sort of run down. The tower was built in the late 1970s and it doesn’t appear to have been updated since. But the view from outside was very nice. You could easily see the area where Kennedy was assassinated from this view.
If you want something cheap to do and want to see views of the downtown Dallas area, then I recommend checking out the Reunion Tower at the Hyatt Regency.

I stayed here for four nights recently. You never quite know what you're going to get with a Hyatt - they can run the gamut from really divey to complete 5 star luxury. The Hyatt on Reunion in Dallas in somewhere in the middle. It's a huge hotel located just a few blocks from the convention center, making it a "convention hotel". Parts of the lobby are a little tired and dated, but all in all it's functional - and enormous.
The rooms themselves are quite nice. The bathrooms have been recently renovated and they now sport granite countertops, french doors and oversized bathtubs. My only complaint what that with their new "green" program, the water pressure is awful and it took a LONG time to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. (Makes you wonder how much water you're really saving if it takes you twice as long to shower.) The bedroom is good sized with nice furniture and comfy down pillows. The desk needed to be lower - it was higher than a normal desk, which made working on my laptop uncomfortable.
All in all - a nice, clean hotel with good service and ameneties.

I recently spent a few days in Dallas and a colleauge of mine took me to this restaurant for a drink. We went at night and the view is great. We have the Space Needle in Seattle, of course - but Dallas is very, very flat so I think you can see much farther from the Reunion Tower than you can from the Space Needle. (Though I'd argue that the landscape is prettier in Seattle, that's probably out of scope for this review.)
We had cosmopolitans, which were very good but very, VERY strong. I think it took me an hour to slowly sip one. Our waitress was very nice and of course extremely friendly and chatty - it seems most people in Dallas are friendly and chatty, which personally I enjoyed!

If you are visiting Dallas or never been to Reunion Tower it is a must. You take an elevator to the top of the tower. From there you can see the beautiful skyline of Dallas. My favorite time is to go is at night so you can see all the buildings lite up. The room revolves slowly around in a circle. The main menu is a little pricey but worth it for the view and the experience. If you want a less expensive option appetizers and a drink is a less expensive way to go. If you have never been or have guest coming this is a neat place to go. It is an unforgettable experience.

Reunion Tower is very famous in downtown Dallas. When you travel around the downtown, you could see a construction with ball-shaped top. This is it. It is not only a hotel, it also welcomes traveler to visit. It has a rotation restaurant on the top of the building. It you dine in for an hour, you will have a chance to look down the Dallas in all directions.

A must see if you are visiting Dallas. An elevator take you into the beautiful sky. Go at night when the view is great. Once at the top, you will be seated by your hostess. I love to get a cocktail and something light to eat (great appetizer menu). The room you are in is quite large and it revolves slowly in a circle, letting you take in the views of downtown Dallas. You can see for miles. Such an awesome sight to see. You can not beat the view, nor the prices. I would say $20 for two people unless you order something from the main menu. But to go and just take in the sights and maybe a drink you can not beat this place in all of Dallas.
