Let me start off my saying that I typically stay in much cheaper hotels – so maybe I am easily impressed by one that is pricier. Since this was a business trip, I stayed in the same place my convention was held (in this hotel). I was impressed with the small things included with the room. We got a paper every morning, we had a robe for us in the room, the bathroom was well stocked with toiletries (mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner, etc), and the room was nice in size. I liked the fitness center – there were cardio and weight machines in addition to some balance balls and free weights. There was also a sauna in the locker room and a coed whirlpool and outdoor pool available. The fitness center even had a bowl of fruits for you to eat after your workout. They did have free wireless internet access – which was a bit slow at times. At some places in the conference rooms it was actually unavailable. I only ate in the restaurant once – and it was a buffet style meal for the conference participants. The food was good – especially the dessert! The front desk staff was very helpful when ever I dealt with them. This hotel was about 10 minutes out of Dallas and maybe 15-20 outside of Fort Worth. There was also some shopping within about a 5 minute drive. It was also very easy to get to and from the airport from this hotel. I do like hotels where breakfast is included – so that was a negative for this hotel since it was not provided. But overall - I would stay here again if I can afford it.
