What a great place! I have been going to Bubba's ever since I was a little kid. The food is outstanding, the people are nice, the location is great, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is friendly. I went all the time for breakfast on Saturday mornings as a kind of tradition, but Bubba's is known for their fried chicken. It is so tasty and juicy--you'll be back before long if you try it. There is even an old jukebox that until recently played all your favorite songs. A great place to take anyone.

I have not eaten there yet but will in a few days. I just found this place. I spent 13 months in Afghanistan and was able to eat many times with the local villagers. The food was awesome so check back in a few days for a comparison!

Eddie Deen's Ranch is a great place to have corporate events, but the catering is even better! They have an extensive menu to choose from. I've held several events over the years and Eddie Deen has been a crowd pleaser each time! They are always prompt, the food is fresh, and the sales staff is efficient. Every 1st Tuesday, they open the doors to their clients for a thank you lunch. Two thumbs up!

This is the real deal all you Tex-Mexers! You may need a translator for the wait staff- although now there are enough gringos going there that I'm sure they've found a way around it. I recommend the Carne Guisada- tear off pieces of the home-made corn tortillas and eat it with your hands. SO GOOD! And very cheap- take cash to avoid the no split checks policy, which they usually ignore. Sundays are a nightmare for parking but most days it's not so bad in their HUGE side lots.

Dickey's is a meat lovers paradise. In a buffet type setting, the food is plentiful and very fresh and tasty. The chicken is out of this world and the most tender and tasty bird around. The best part about Dickey's is the free ice cream you get with each meal and the down home type atmosphere. The prices are pretty high for a casual place, but once you eat the food, you are still glad you went. Dicky's is great to cater in for work events and a good way to introduce the taste of Texas to visitors.
PROS: Great food
CONS: Not real fancy
