Was quoted $300 and told how great there service is. I told the sales person on the phone I had just bought a house and there were stains on the carpet, she said no problem they have a special cleaner they would put on the carpet and go over every stain twice. Once the guy showed up he looked at the stains and said oh no stains are extra, oh and closets are extra. The bill ended up being $695. The service technician did not tell me the price before he started cleaning. I called and complained, was told a manager would call, but I'm still waiting . . . .

I had KIWI come out to clean my sofa and after 3 tries with them I gave up. They just grind the dirt in. There is no extraction. I have cleaned it myself but after a carmel popcorn mishap with some teen boys I did not feel like dealing with it and thought it was probably time to have a professional cleaning all over. It was a wasted $180. I should have spent the $400 for Stanley Steamer.

When I called about the bill no one returned the call, when I called the headquarters they said I owed them the money. Very rude, took a while to get the situation resolved. Not a very well run organization. Would NEVER call them again.

It all started like this: Apparently every employee of Kiwi Cleaning Services is payed by commission, as they have overpriced me for my house carpet cleaning, then they offer a 40% miraculous discount that still puts the price to an overpriced amount. After that, the guy (one person) showed up to clean my house carpet, and mentioned that for $40 more I would get a teflon layer on the carpets. I agreed. My house has 4000 square feet. The equipment they used was very old, compared to others used by other companies. They had a sort of vacuum clearner to-it-all thing that seemed to come out of the 50s. I could hear its power and it really seed weaker than my own non pro vacuum. After the service was done (it took him about 3 hours only for 4000 square feet) they presented me the bill, which was calculated $40 per room, not for the whole house, therefore the teflon layer costed me alone about $300 on top of their overpriced fee. In the end, I had to pay them $860 dollars for a quick service that anyone with a non pro carpet washing equipment could have done a lot better... I am using my own experience as a reference, as I have seen in the past companies doing fantastic work with that. My disappointment goes for the pricing model they have, the whole sale strategy that starts over the phone (making the appointment and quotation) up to the guy who cleans the house, who will also try to push some extras that are unclear on how much they would cost. My conclusion: I will never more use their service and now I have $860 less dollars than before with a carpet that does not look professionally clean.

Just proving a point that everytime someone posts a bad review "someone" posts a good review very soon after. If I said I was a former employee in my first post and was calling them on their BS it may not of happened again. Thank you for proving my point by posting a good review the next day. Besides, I don't expect you would say that you are affiliated with Kiwi. You may not be, but, I know that they do post good reviews for themselves. I have seen it first hand. That in my eyes is lying.

I wrote a review a few days ago to speak of the fact that I had been upset with Kiwi and felt the need to share the info I found out when they tried to make things right with me. Now I see a review in response insinuating i work for them, which is way off base. Why I am responding is that someone first claimed she had thought about using them but found bad bbb info, then when I wrote about my experience she writes the very next day and claims to be a former employee. Get the story straight.

I used to work for Kiwi not to long ago so I know the things they do. One being have office staff and techs post good reviews for them to help boost there 1 star ratings to 3 stars to make them look somewhat better. Think of all the unsatisfied customers that didn't report there greivance to the BBB. Intesting how everytime Kiwi gets a poor rating the next day or soon after there is a good rating. Hmmmmm. May be new management but they seem to use the same unethical tactics.

After reading reviews and not sure why so many, so many bad, I called. What I found out is that they have changed their management team due to their past issues. Looks like they have turned things around. Yes they have a lot (255 in 36 months) compaints listed with bbb but only 7 in the last year and all of these have been resolved. This leads me to believe maybe I should give them another chance, I loved the results in the past and don't know anyone who provides the same type of cleaning. Just my opinion.

I was thinking of calling them to have my carpets cleaned and thought I would check the BBB first. What I found out was mind boggling. They have over 200 complaints for all kinds of things. Just a fair warning to anyone considering using this company. I wouldn't chance it.
