I purchased a historic home after my husband died. He had been a minister so I needed a home. Perma Pier seems nice when they come out, but be warned, they DO NOT HONOR their warranty! Not only that I have tried since 2004 to get a copy of my paperwork and STILL DON'T have it. My house did not have structural damage but my gov't loan said I needed to have the piers replaced. I told them to leave the old piers, since the house was level and the wrap around porch was NOT pulling away from the house until they worked on the house. When I called them to come back, the house shook when I walked through it, they always had an excuse. So now I am paying for a house where the roof is sinking in, porch is pulling away from house, and porch roof is sinking in. This company will NOT even talk to me!!! I can't believe that a company could ruin a person's life. I have lost all hope in life, I might as well have backed a truck into my house. How can a company that does things like this sleep at night? I have had stress and financial hardship because this company took my money for a service that they did NOT do correctly. I now have high blood pressure and am on anxiety medicine. I don't think I could even sell my house now, thanks to Perma Pier. I thought I hired a professional company, but instead I found a nightmare. Nobody at Perma Pier cares what I am going through, maybe they only do this to teachers as I see another teacher wrote a bad review also. I wish I could post pictures of how my house looked BEFORE Perma Pier and AFTER they ruined my house. What really makes me mad, is why can't I get my paperwork? What are they trying to hide or cover up? To have another company fix this is $25,000 as a teacher and a widow I don't have that. They took out piers and never replaced them and I have pictures of that also! They won’t return my phone calls either. I walk across my floors now and they give because they didn’t replace the piers they took out. I am older and couldn’t crawl under the house, so maybe they just take advantage of older people and widows! IT MAKES ME SICK THAT THEY DON’T CARE WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO MY HOUSE OR MY HEALTH! I wish I could be around someday when they have to answer for all the horrible things they have done, what goes around comes around. All I want is my foundation fixed, I am not even trying to get them to fix all the other damages they have caused. Oh, and at Christmas they fix other foundation companies mistakes and advertise this on the radio. Apparently they can't fix their own! BE WARNED: IF YOU HIRE THIS COMPANY, YOU ARE IN FOR STRESS AND AGRAVATION AND HARDSHIP FOR THE REST OF YOUR
Pros: NONE
Cons: Everything, mainly warranty and won't honor warranty.

Three companies gave me estimates for foundation repair; PermaPier's quote was the least expensive. I felt like they helped me understand the problem without over exagerrating it. And I can say that all my interactions with PermaPier personnel were very positive. I had interactions with the president, the office staff, the analysts who took measurements at the house, and the work crew, and everyone was courteous and professional, and seemed completely competent in what they did. Since the repair work was completed, the portion of my house that had been lifting and settling has completely stabilized. (a huge relief!) I got my lifetime transferable warranty about 3 weeks after the work was done. The other thing I really apprecaited was their recommendations to improve site drainage which will hopefully prevent other foundation problems in other parts of the house. These guys were good!

I was very happy with the work done on my house. Perma-Pier people are knowledgeable about foundation repair and the soil in this area. The man that sold me the job had a masters degree in geology and really knew what he was talking about and how to fix my house. I have had one problem since and they came right out and took care of it.
Great job, highly recommend this company to anyone.
Pros: sales guy really was in the know about how to fix the problem
Cons: foundation repair is expensive, with any company, not just Perma-Pier

We were in the process of getting pricing for our foundation, had two very expensive bids for putting piers under our house, saw the weather man, Troy Dungan, on TV for Perma-Pier and gave them a call. They told me that I did not need any foundation repair, what we needed was drainage correction, which they did. Cost us thousands less than the other foundation repair companies. They could have sold us much more because we do not know anything about this type of thing, but they chose to do the right thing.
THANK YOU PERMA-PIER!
Pros: HONEST
Cons: I have nothing bad to say about this company

Permapier was very prompt in scheudling the initial work and very quickly finished the necessary work. The sump pump that is a critical part of the foundation repair was not properly install and we began having problems almost immediately.
They currently have a back log of over 6 weeks for warranty claims. While I thought that might be a little excessive, I have gotten no response to my inquiries. Permapier seems satisfied with such a long que time for warranty work.
Had I done a little more research on the companies, I would have chosen another company.
Pros: Prompt Installation
Cons: Unresponsive to Warranty Claims

Perma Pier seemed to have the most up to date knowledge and technical expertise regarding the area soils and how they effect the foundation. They also were the only folks to really explain why my house was moving and what they could do to fix it.
I also purchased a maintenance plan from them to maintain my foundation's security...
Very good company!
Pros: technical knowledge was outstanding
Cons: It took a bit longer than expected, but it was worth it.

Perma-Pier Foundation Repair Company was one of about 10 foundation companies to come to my house to give me an estimate. They were the only ones to go under my pier and beam house, and give me a real estimate.
They not only addressed my foundation issues, but also drainage issues and fixed all of them for less than all the other quotes I received. They did a great job. I would recomment Perma-Pier to anyone with foundation issues.
I was also told by two companies other than Perma-Pier, that I needed to remove two trees (which I did not want to do), Perma-Pier told me I did not need to remove the older trees I had in the yard as it would cause more damage to remove them than they could possible have ever caused to have them there. They also gave me mounds of information on maintaining my foundation from here on out.
Perma-Pier is GREAT!

Pros: Really knowlegdable evaluators! Quick response. Professional in every way!

It was a hardship to pay the $8,000 on a teacher's salary, but I borrowed the money and paid because i NEEDED MY FOUNDATION FIXED SO MY HOUSE WOULD STOP MOVING AROUND! The foundation was never repaired properly. Two weeks after the supposed repair the house was again moving excessively--great cracks inside and out forming every day and not one door would close. Repeated appeals to everyone in the company have gotten me 5 cursory "adjustments of shims" which does nothing. I can't sell my house and it's miserable to live here. I can't afford to pay another company to fix the foundation. Now they are trying to make me sign a waiver of my warranty. Beware!!! Steer clear of this company! I've heard there are other people in the same predicament after using Perma Pier. I have been forced to try and get them to fix my foundation for a year. This is a year of stress and financial hardship because this company callously took my money for a service they didn't perform. I'm disabled and couldn't crawl under the house to see if they did the work. Now I'm stuck commuting to another city for a new job because no one will buy this house in this condition. It's a nightmare and no one at Perma Pier cares about what they've done to a customer. I think they feel immune from any repercussions for not doing what they contracted to do--Fix my foundation.
Pros: NONE-I might have well have just burned my money
Cons: I paid for foundation repair and I still don't have a repaired foundation
