I've been to Zubar twice once on a Thurs. and and once on a Friday, if you luv real hip-hop and not that booty shake stuff that's out now then this is the place, the DJ's were two of the best I've heard outside of NY spinning new school and old school hip-hop, wasn't crowded at all but still enough people to meet someone new. Not really a singles scene to pick up people at but still a good atmosphere, not real trendy everybody was pretty down to earth, NO COVER CHARGE:)
Pros: Music, Great Ambience
Cons: Pay for Parking

Anyways, place has 2 rooms both with good music. The back room had more hip/hop, r&b so I was feelin that. Towards the end of the night only the front room played music and they finished the night off with Ready for the World's "Love You Down" and R. Kelly's "Sxx in the Kitchen" which was pretty tight.
Nice people, not so packed either...good place overall. No cover.
Check it out!
Pros: good music
Cons: hmm...can't think of any

The bartender in the back room on Friday night was pathetic at best. Lazy, slow and lacking in knowledge of drinks. I asked for a Jim Beam and Coke. He told me they didn't have Jim Beam. I pointed to the shelf behind him at the full bottle of Jim Beam sitting there. Later I order a Disoronno sour. He gave me a generic brand amaretto. I told him that I had ordered Disoronno. He asked if I would just go ahead and take the no-name brand and he would use the Disoronno for the next order.
The DJ Michael Roos however is one of the best in Dallas! Wow! What a song mixologist.
Pros: The music
Cons: Worst Bartender

One would think that going into a bar that good service from the bartenders are a must. Especially since that's usually why they are hired...good people skills. The one guy they do have, is HORRIBLE. His refusal to close tabs, yell at people, and just plainly doesn't listen is just a few of his distinguished qualites. The other bartenders are mildly OK but they have there days and a few too much attitude if I do say. Ultimately, I don't recommend this place at all.
