I enjoyed this restaurant. The portions were huge but reasonably priced. The service was good and the wait wasn't bad at all. The decorations are very entertaining too.

We didn’t stay in the hotel, or eat in the restaurant, or enjoy drinks in the bar, but we did take a quick elevator ride up 55 stories to get a view from atop the Reunion Tower in Dallas, Texas.
To go to the observation desk cost $2 for adults. It wasn’t a very popular tourist destination on a Tuesday mid-day – so we had plenty of room (and time) to enjoy the view. The inside of the observation desk area was sort of run down. The tower was built in the late 1970s and it doesn’t appear to have been updated since. But the view from outside was very nice. You could easily see the area where Kennedy was assassinated from this view.
If you want something cheap to do and want to see views of the downtown Dallas area, then I recommend checking out the Reunion Tower at the Hyatt Regency.

One of my most memorable birthdays was here at this hotel. The Dome Lounge atop Reunion Tower was the best place to celebrate my 18th birthday! I was able to enjoy my birthday with my family overlooking the Dallas skyline.

This hotel is an upscale, nice, clean resort.
The best thing about this hotel is that it is actually connected to the Dallas Galleria Mall. There are many restaurants inside the mall and lots to do and see. :)

I attended a convention at the adjoining Adam's Mark hotel but headed over to the Westin for a couple of functions. The Westin is also connected to the Adams Mark by a long, glass walkway making traveling between the 2 hotels a breeze. The Westin seems to be much more lavish than the Adams Mark and quite a few of the rooms on multiple floors overlook the galleria and ice skating rink.
The Westin has many conference rooms available and were very hospitable having coffee, tea, honey, water, etc available to guests. The conference rooms were uncomfortably hot even though the weather outside was hot, sticky and muggy. Other than this slight inconvenience, I would stay at the Westin anytime, especially with a room overlooking the ice rink.

I typically don’t like “chain” Italian restaurants – but the Spaghetti Warehouse in Dallas, Texas one was better than most! The atmosphere was great – they had old furniture and memorabilia scattered around the restaurant.
When we were there, they had a special going on to try a half an appetizer, a full entrée, and half a dessert for a great price – so, since we were from out of town – we thought that would be the way to go.
My appetizer was stuffed mushrooms. I wish I had the whole appetizer because these were yummy! For the main course, we both had the spaghetti and meatballs – the meatballs were huge! I just checked out their website and they actually have the recipe posted right there! I will have to give these a try at home!
For dessert I had the tiramisu. It was pretty good – but I would still have to say the highlight of the meal for me was the stuffed mushrooms.

Medieval Times is a great place to entertain a special guest or take the family. Its the only place you can feel comfortable eating with your hands. The staff are outstanding and the show amazing. The horsemanship and jousting is entertaining along with the crowd interaction. The price is a bit expensive but well worth every penny.

We had our wedding reception in the older areas of the Belo (the historic mansion and the historic ballrooms) and were very happy with it. The people we dealt with (who were less than fabulous) are no longer there, but the location itself was lovely. In particular our out of town guests were very impressed ... Dallas residents might have been a little less impressed, particularly if they were associated with the Dallas Bar and already had attended many events. Its a very quaint but elegant location and allowed for a very intimate ceremony (in the sunroom with the skylights) and reception (in the ballrooms). We also did the cocktail hour in the historic home.

UPDATE!!
********************************************
Ok, as an update - I had gotten a call back from the manager who was very apologetic that we had a bad time. They invited us back in to see how things were and I must say it was a HUGE difference! The wait staff was SO much better and really made it feel like the "Joes Crab Shack" experience - they even did "the dance"!!
The manager had stated that they had recently replaced a large portion of the staff due to attitude problems - it REALLY showed - MUCH BETTER!!
********************************************
Well, normally I would agree - and I may edit this one later - but I did NOT enjoy my time at this restaurant. I have eaten at several different Joe's and have never had anything but a blast - until now.
The wait staff was dead!! Normally it's all laughing and joking and singing - not at this Joe's, leave all that at home! Saturday night at 5:30pm you would think would be a good time to go to a place like this for excitement - it just wasn't there.
Aside from the lack of "Joe's Crab Shack" ambiance the food was, as always, wonderful. We did have to ask to get enough bread for 2 though. I can't see one bun and 2 small corn breads being enough for 2 people (at the least there should be 2 of everything).
So.... worth it? Yes, if you want a great meal at a decent price!! They always have specials and if you hunt around you can find coupons.
I'll update this one the next time we go to this location to see if it is more like the Joe's we all know and love!!
