Great place to just meet up with a friend, kick-back, delete the corporate-business vocabulary and just be authentic Texan. No pretentious menus or wine lists and they proudly don...

A cute place with gingham tablecloths, boots on the windowsill and horseshoes. The food is very mediocre. The ribs were bland. The brisket dry. The waitstaff was polite and at...

Good: servoce, baby back ribs, decor. Bad: everything else. Improvements: The Management needs to climb down our f their ivory towers and make serious changes in the quality of their food.. more

The barbecue chicken was dry, and tasteless. The ribs were good, but the brisket was dry and overcooked. The sausage was OK. The vegetable dishes were very poor overall. The pinto beans, squash salad had little spice and were tasteless, The mashed potatoes had more peal than potatoes, but the potato salad was good. The peach cobbler contained canned peaches with a biscuit crust and was served with ice cream full of ice crystals. Good service but lousy food. more

Peggy Sue BBQ 8/16/2005

Peggy Sue's is a great place to go to get old fashioned BBQ. You will find that the walls are lined with memorabilia from the 50s, 60s, and some 70s. There are signed pictures of actors and actress, lunchboxes, and all kinds of other hangings. There is a good salad bar and the menu features all the great food you would expect from a quality BBQ restaurant., all at a modest price. The drinks are nice and big, and the place is clean. Make sure to visit. more

Some Good Down Home BBQ 8/15/2005

This place is right across the street from SMU campus so my fellow students and I frequent it quite often. The price is totally reasonable and the food is tasty. I personally love their briscut sandwich but they also make some mean ribs and their sides are good too. They've been around for a long time and their longevity speaks volumes. You don't have to drive out to the country to get some good BBQ, just check out Peggy Sue's more

A Must For BBQ 8/2/2005

This is really a great place to take family, friends, or just yourself if you are really hungry for a great barbeque meal, with home type atmosphere, and lots of home made food! The salad bar is not huge, but it is chock full of yummy goodies to fill your plate, I love the pulled pork and the barbeque sauce is fantastic! Whether its ribs, beef, pork, or chicken you will not be disapointed, you need to leave room for the fried pies (apricot if its available is my choice). more
