Sunscreen! Don't forget your sunscreen while visiting this. Pack a picnic and get there early because the picnic tables go fast. The few water slides they have are very fun. I recommend the purple one that goes straight down.
The only downside to the park is the pricing. My 7 year old had to pay the adult price because she is 48 inches tall.

I highly recommend visiting The Women's Museum in Dallas. Here great women throughout U.S history are celebrated and honored. There is nothing like this in the Dallas area. It is a unique experience. There is also a great museum store which I enjoy visiting when at the museum where you can buy souvenirs and gifts.

Who doesn't love the State Fair of Texas? Fun for the whole family- the kids can go nuts on the midway, while the adults can be entertained by the shows (last year's Trained House Cats were quite impressive) and exhibits. And, of course, everyone loves the food... all deep fried and all good.
I am mourning the fact that there will be no petting zoo this year :( but I'm sure that all the new fried wonders will more than make up for it.

This place is amazing. An absolute must to see. Kids and adults will enjoy. You can take the dart train and get very close. It is located close to downtown Dallas close to West End and is a most popular place. The atmosphere is really great. Lots to see so plan to have several hours to spend. You won't want to leave.

I went to the Dallas Arboretum over the weekend with a group of ladies, and have to say, this place is gorgeous!
It was the perfect day to walk through all these gardens and water areas - very soothing! There were lots of folks talking photos of their kids or wedding photos. The breeze was blowing - it was SO nice! There are lots of beautiful flowers in bloom and lush grasses swaying in the breeze - and LOTS of trees!
I would encourage you to visit the Dallas Arboretum, take a picnic lunch and take your shoes off and run your toes through the grass.

When I was recently on a business trip to Dallas, I extended my stay to go to this museum and I am sure glad that I did. The cost was $10 per person and I think it was a great deal.
The museum is located in the 6th floor of the “Book Depository” building in downtown Dallas. This is the building where they believe that the fatal shots originated. The building is no longer used as a book depository, but the area around the window where the shots were fired and the area where the police later discovered the rifle have been restored to how they looked at the time.
The museum had a huge collection of photographs and artifacts from the Kennedy family as well as many from the hours before and after the shooting.
The museum is laid out in chronological order – starting with the Kennedy family, then how JFK became president, then through his presidency, then many details on the assassination and its aftermath. They do highlight the conspiracy theories, the Warren Commission, and other investigations that have taken place.
They present the stories with a combination of text, photos, artifacts, and videos. As someone who was not yet born at the time of his assassination, it was very interesting for me to see the affect of this event on the United States and even the world. It was also very interesting to see how different things were back then.
We went to the museum on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed! I would highly recommend trying to fit this in on a weekday if you do plan to go. Check out their hours though as they are not open in the evenings and you want to give yourself enough time to get through the large exhibit.
There is a store at the end of the museum – I found a great book there that has a lot of the same information as the exhibit – but it is not nearly as dramatic as seeing it in person.
There is also a lot of great information about the museum and their exhibit at their website jfk.org http://www.jfk.org/
If you are ever in the Dallas area – I highly recommend you check out this museum!

If the outdoors go-carts are too loud or slow for you, give this place a try. They've got battery powered supercharged carts in an indoor track. For the speed freaks, they can go up to 40 MPH but careful on the turns, they're killer. Great place to enjoy a thrilling weekend! Have fun!

Medieval Times is a great place to entertain a special guest or take the family. Its the only place you can feel comfortable eating with your hands. The staff are outstanding and the show amazing. The horsemanship and jousting is entertaining along with the crowd interaction. The price is a bit expensive but well worth every penny.

I stayed here on one of my very first trips to Dallas. Great location for the Embassy. I was very impressed with my room. I had a connecting living room and mini-kitchen. Everything I needed. The tv had web access for a small fee. The bedroom was quite large and spacious with tons of storage space. A wonderful indoor pool with sauna and locker rooms. A fitness center. A nice patio area for tanners. They also have free cocktails in the evenings and free breakfast. You can either eat downstairs or take it with you up to your room. A little pricey to stay here, but so worth it. Close to shopping and other businesses as well.
