A nice aquarium but I really prefer Dallas World Aquarium since it came to Dallas. I'm sure it is still visited a lot but the location is not all that good. Since Dallas World Aquarium came to the area I think this aquarium has not been as popular with some people. There are others things to do and see where this is located though so if you are wanting to do several things in one day it might serve you well to go here.

This was one of the first places we visited when we moved to America. We thought it would be this nice aquarium with lots to see. We where very dissapointed to find that it was just 1 room with a few fish tanks and about a 5 minute visit. It was a couple of dollars to get in which was a waste of money I think.

When I visited The Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park I was a little surprised because it seemed a little run down, but there was a variety of fish and sea life to look at. The tanks looked a little dirty too but they had a lot of information about what was located inside of them.

For whatever reason, I wasn't really impressed with this particular aquarium. They just did not seem to have the wide array of fish and aquatic life that other aquariums in the area have. Not to mention, the tanks were dirty and Fair Park isn't exactly the nicest part of town in Dallas. About the only thing the Dallas Aquarium had going for it was the piranha feeding. Still, I'd look elsewhere in the area for a better aquarium.

The aquarium is associated with the Dallas zoo. If you've spent the day at the zoo and want to get out of the sun or if you're downtown to do something else it's a distracting half hour or so. It costs $3 for non-members to get in, so the price is certainly right. The facility is old and not particularly well maintained. They do have some gorgeous fish but the tanks aren't very exciting and there aren't very many of them. We thought we were in the atrium but it turned out that was the entire display. Right now they have an exhibit of sea horses which is really fun. It's too bad that they don't have more of those kind of thing.
