Lineberger's Maple Springs Strawberries

After purchasing strawberries from Lineberger's Maple Springs Farm,this season and bringing them home, i started cutting them up to use for strawberry shortcakes; just below the top strawberries, the rest were mildewed and/or rotten. Upon returning the bad strawberries (none were usable), the owner did not want to give me a return of the purchase amount or a dollar for dollar exchange. The owner told me that she had seen many strawberries being purchased that were rotten. She said that they had to pay for the produce. I was shocked to hear the statement that they knew that they were selling rotten produce to the public. The prices of the items are higher than in the supermarket a lot of the time and getting higher each year. At least by purchasing in the supermarkets, returns are accepted without worry. more

I've been out here three times this spring to get strawberries, and they have been great every time. Now that I've discovered this place I plan to come back when the other berries and veggies get ripe. Prices are good, straws are $7 or 8/gallon or $5.50 if you pick in the strawfield (the plastic field is higher). more

This is our third time to go to Lineberger's and we haven't found any other farm to match it. Clean fields, picnic tables, restroom, etc. And the berries are wonderful. We love it. Ken and Carolyn more

A trip to Lineberger's Maple Spring Strawberry Farm is a treat within itself. Not only do they offer the best and most delicious berries, they have blackberries, raspberries, muscadine grapes, greens, and some of the biggest and best pumpkins around! You can pick your own, or buy them already picked. Either way, you're in for a treat, but don't think the fun ends there. There's always something extra going on around here! During berry season, they offer wonderful berry slushes and even have a hot-dog stand. In the fall, kids are in for a special treat. Hayrides are offered!
