My husband and I are very please with Dr. O and his staff. They were very kind and treated us like VIP's. The doctor listens to you about any eye problems and does a thorough check-up when you come in. They have state-of-the art equipment compared to other optomistrists. They don't rush you in and out of the office. When we picked up our glasses 1 week after our appointment, the glasses fit well and the prescriptions were correct. We have gone to other eye doctors and our prescriptions were always wrong and they had to redo our glasses. My husband and I are very pleased with Dr. O and his staff. I highly recommend him and will let my family and friends know about the excellent quality of care we received. Pros: The quality of care received by Dr. O and his staff

I have never been in a place that will give you so much time and attention, all of the staff are very helpful. Dr. Oevermann was very good, I did not have to wait a long time in the exam room before he came in. He answered all my questions and was very reassuring. I spent a long time in the office after my exam picking out glasses and the ladies there were very nice. I have a very high prescription and I can not really see the new glasses on my face when I try them on, they have a camera there that they can use to take a picture of you with the glasses you pick out and you can put your regular ones back on and see what the new ones look like on the computer screen. I was completely impressed all of the technology in their office. It made the exam and the whole experience pain free and actually quite enjoyable, I will deffinatly be back next year and I am reccommending Cypress Family Eyecare to all my friends.

Don't be deceived by the impression of the office when you first step in. You should only expect something totally opposite to what you see. Staff are extremely RUDE, LAZY & UNPROFESSIONAL in every way! I gave them almost two and half days to verify my insurance information, they did nothing but wait until you arrived there to start working. When they start working, they simply mess up everything. Can you believe that you will have to wait for over a hour for your 8:30am appointment in the morning? If you have better way to consume your time, please never go visit them. There are plenty of nice vision doctors in the area. At least I will never visit them again.

Dr. Oevermann was a very nice person...his staff in his Cypress office are extremely RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL in every way! If you buy a pair of glasses and have to take them back for any sort of corrections thats when the nastiness starts to show. After paying for my problem purchase the receptionist slapped my credit card hard on the counter. There were three front desk workers and all were rolling their eyes. Felt like I was in New York while in the small glasses boutique.

I would agree with the other comments made about this place and the doctor. Top of the line place. I had been to two other doctors with my eye hurting and the other doctors kept saying it was allergies. When I went to see dr. Overmann he said I had allergies but I also had a condition blepharits (sp?). This was the underlying problem and the allergies were a symptom. I was not too sure, but I followed his advice of the warm compress with lid cleaning for about 2 weeks. Guess what? the problem went away without any medication like the other doctors had prescribed. Dr. O told me he could prescribe better medication but it would not help as much as the therapy he told me about. I found that refreshing that he gave me alternatives, instead of prescribing some medication and getting me out of the office. Oh, he did say that this condition would get better and get worse with the allergy seasons and I would have to keep up this routine off and on to keep in under control. I don't think I like that. He also said if I find a better method to let him know so he can share this with the rest of his patients. :-) Pros: Solved my problem and more Cons: he can be blunt and to the point

wow this place is nicer than any other that i have seen. I had a bad experience with cyfair family eyecare (walmart). did not come in for an appointment but the staff was friendly and not pushy. the doctor was walking around the office and ask me if i needed any help. i did not know that he was the doctor until the people working there told me. i asked is he that friendly to everyone. they said oh yess, he likes to talk and get to know people. next eye appointment i will be makeing that this office

Dr. Oevermann: Pleasant personality, very knowledgeable, takes his time getting things right. The staff: Courteous and very helpful. I like the glasses they helped me pick out, and I appreciate that they were not trying to persuade me to spend more money than I wanted to. And they were nice to my kids, which always scores big points with me. The facility/office: Very clean and modern, with an overall positive atmosphere. The location: I didn't have any trouble finding it, but I live in the neighborhood and it's in the Kroger center where I regularly shop.

I have VSP and was trying to find another location that took my insurance. I googled cypress optometrist and got cy fair eyecare called them and they were rude and short on the phone. Called cypress family eyecare the second one on the list. They were nice and took my insurance. Nothing big or unusual. Wanted a saturday appointment because I work all week long. did not have one for 2 weeks took the appointment because the person on the phone was nice and sounded real friendly. went to my appointment and wow was I impressed. this place looked expensive and new. i asked how long they have been here and they said that they redid the place about a year ago. doctor was good, staff was better answered all my questions and was not pushy at all. Pros: great staff and office Cons: had to wait 2 weeks for my appointment
