It seems to me after reading these 2 very vinomous reviews, that they were written by the same person(note how similar they are) ,to use her own words.. If your selfconfidence can be distroyed because your bangs are too short..... Well, this could become ONLINE WAR. Get a life honey...Beauty Secrets has been in business for 20 years, and I doubt your nasty remarks will hurt them.. We all know beauty is skin deep and ugly is to the bone..Nasty attitudes..Well my dear you have one.... . Pros: Reasonable prices, Very friendly stylists thumbs up!!! Cons: None

I would have to agree with a comment below - I think the owners write their own reviews. Pay attention when you read them. They are all TOO good and sound basically the same with the same writing style. I know the owners will read this and say, "Shoot, they are on to us" and then try to change it up. Don't be fooled. I will NEVER go anywhere again based off reviews from CitySearch because my experience at Beauty Secrets was so terrible. Resort to the old methods and get a recommendation from a friend. I would avoid Beauty Secrets at all costs. They ruined my hair. Fortunately, it will grow back in 6 months to a year but in the meantime...thanks alot (that is sarcasm). =( Pros: NONE Cons: Everything

Diana at Beauty Secrets has been curling my hair for 2 years. My hair is perfect when Diana gives me my body waves. Not too curly...Just right..Their Salon is so comfortable, you feel like home .It's nice to find a Salon that is not so pretencious. It reminds me of my Aunt Agnus' Salon, I grew up going to. Every one was so happy to be there,and left looking BEAUTIFU!!!! I recommend Beauty Secrets to my friends, and they have been very satisfied.They do great work.. Pros: Relaxed atmosphere Great curls Cons: None

I first came to this little log-cabin gem with my mother, who has been a customer of Diana's since she was at another location, and I have to tell you that I've never been in another establishment that has such a welcoming feel to it. The children toys in the corner give the place an atmosphere of family, and they're also a great touch for the customers with children. It's very hard to know /exactly/ what a person wants in a haircut, or /exactly/ how their hair works. It takes a good stylist one or two tries to know those two things. Jacque and Diana, however, come very close to knowing both of those things. When I first came to Beauty Secrets, Jacque was the one who cut my hair. She asked me what I wanted to do with my hair, made a few suggestions(which I greatly appreciated later), and she went to work. The finished product was exactly what I wanted. Both of these women have hair-styling down to an art form. Their prices are very reasonable for their quality of work, and I was very happy with my hair after I went to Beauty Secrets. This establishment really is one of Houston's finer hair salons, and as a customer who has been going there for years, I'm sure you will be satisfied. Pros: friendly atmosphere, wonderful service, good products, clean facility Cons: Limited parking, kind of hard to find

(CitySearch thinks the term for the hair that lies across your forehead is a bad word so we'll call it b*ngs) My requests were simple and straightforward. I simply wanted a wash, cut, and blow-dry. The cut: long side-swept b*ngs and the rest trimmed to just pass my shoulders. I went to this place strictly based off the reviews on Citysearch - big mistake! My experience was horrible. The mother cut my hair and we discussed everything beforehand. I had a collage of pictures and she seemed to understand what I wanted. We even discussed what I did NOT want for sure. Wouldn't you know it - my hair ended up exactly how I DIDN'T want it. She cut the majority of my hair too short (above the shoulders when I had specifically said I wanted it PAST my shoulders). She didn't cut it straight either - I had long pieces hanging down past the rest and they made a feeble attempt to fix this as I walked out of the door. The WORST part is the b*ngs - she had asked, "So do you want an obvious b*ng or b*ngs that blend with the rest of your hair?" I told her I did NOT like obvious b*ngs and wanted the blended, side-swept, long b*ngs. Guess what I ended up with -- thick b*ngs cut straight across my forehead! They're terrible! I've had to pin them back every day. You can't fix something that's TOO short. To make it even worse, she burned my forehead TWICE with the curling iron. TWICE. Not tiny, oopsy marks; I ended up with large, brown, burnt-flesh splotches on 1/2 of my forehead. Good thing I have these nasty b*ngs to cover up the burn marks if I so chose! Her demeanor kind of sucked too - she'd ask questions to seem sociable but would then eavesdrop on the other conversation in the room without listening to my response. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone; in fact, I'm doing my best to warn everybody so they don't have to go through what I went through (something I'm still suffering from while I wait for my hair to grow back so somebody skilled can cut it.) Pros: Great parking...since there was only 1 other customer...I wonder why... Cons: I forgot to mention - they didn't even wash my hair because they were in a hurry to close.

After reading reviews on Citysearch about Beauty Secrets, I decided to give them a try. I have fine thin hair and am tenderheaded. My mom and I went for a cut and highlights. Jacqueline & Diana were professional, gentle and fun to talk to. I enjoyed the log cabin w/pine trees - felt at home. My hair looks better than I thought it could. Will definitely be back!

I had read about them in this venue. I don't have a lot of hair procedures (cut, color, styling) but my hair was falling out and I had to go to wigs (much to my dismay). I found Diana through here and she did a great job trimming my wig bangs and was very empathetic to my endeavor. Now that my hair is starting to grow back, I'm counting on her to make a silk purse out of a cow's ear! and really think she can do it!!! I'll let you know. Susan

The ladies are very personable and really make you feel at home. They started out as my hairdressers, but now I consider them my good friends.
