... My husband and I frequented this restaurant on Saturdays, and found its yummy sandwiches, fun beverages and outdoor dining space a delight. So, we were deeply saddened when we discovered today that it appears to be out of business. : (
Pros: Loved this place ...

This place is the best. They roast their own beans and offer different selections every day. It is a family owned business and the service is top notch. The line is usually out the door in the morning, but they keep it moving fast and it is worth it.

This place is a great little brazlian churrascaria. The meat is pretty decent overall. I'm not a huge fan of garlic beef, though my girlfriend loves it. The picanha and the tri tip is excellent, and the side dishes are quite tasty as well. The mashed potatoes were pretty good, and even more so with the chicken stroganoff. The service is pretty good, for the most part. I've had to occasionally ask for drink refills, but they're usually good about that stuff. The grill master comes around often with different skewers of meat, so you'll get full quickly.
Overall, an excellent, excellent restaurant.
Pros: The food and staff.
Cons: Parking can be a pain.

Look, I'm seriously tempted to write a scathing review of Sushi Mashiko so no one goes there, but me and my family! Yes, it's a little hole in the wall. Yes, it's in the Ralph's strip mall at Jefferson and Overland. And yes, it is so delicious and affordable to eat at that I don't want anyone there.
Understand, this is truly a "mom and pop" operation with the husband sushi chef and the wife hostess. There is other help. Last night, there appeared to be a younger asian male serving. He was okay. Miki is not the fastest, but he does a good job. Two of us eating our fill with a $9 bottle of frozen sake? $50. Puh-leeze. And that's with the "market price" uni, etc.
Pros: Good sushi at great prices.
Cons: Sometimes hard to find a place to sit.

We've been El Abajeno customers for about 25 years now, and you can often expect a line practically out the door. I am a BIG fan of their soft shell carnitas taquito with meat sauce. My native friends have confirmed that the food is AUTHENTIC and muy bien!!!

I think this may be the best deli in L.A. Actually it's more Chicago style than New York. Great food, wonderfully friendly wait staff and management. We love their Sunday brunch. Yes, it's not cheap, but the portions are large and so we often split.

I work in the ER (emergency room) longs hours (12 hour shifts 5 days a week) and lots of stress (both physical and mental). Even though I'm in the medical field I try to do things naturally, in other words, I've seen the benefits of medication but I have also seen the devastating addictions and side effects.
When I developed neck pain/headaches a few weeks ago I saw in the local paper that Atlas Chiropractic Center was voted the best chiropractic office in Culver City for 2008. So I called and made an appointment for a free consultation...Dr. Beteta did a thourough exam and he explained the basic Chiropractic philosophy...locate, analyze and correct spinal misalignments to remove nerve interference and restore normal function. He took some x-rays (to rule out fractures, pathology and postural changes) then adjusted me by hand. After only one adjustment the neck pain was 10% better but the headache was gone instantly.
Dr. B explained that 10% of his patients have miraculous results, 10% may have a slight negative reaction and 80% have little to no improvement after the first couple of adjustments. But he noted that all 3 reactions were normal. I'm still under care and I continue to improve a little every visit (FYI: headaches are still gone).
I'm very happy to have found this great Chiropractor and I highly recommend you try him.
Pros: everything

Great little blast from the past. The food is really quite good. Great little red vinyl oversized booths, dark lighting, big inviting bar.... the drinks are cheap and the food is great.
Dean and Richard play on Friday and Saturday night and it is the coolest RETRO horn duo I have ever seen. FUN FUN FUN.
Pros: Dean and Richard and their horns.

The Culver City Ice Rink is certainly a fun place to spend the day with the entire family. This is such a nice ice rink, quite big in size but there are a lot of people that go here. My daughter is just learning to ice skate and I am thinking of signing her up for the classes the offer at the rink.
