The waxing here is awesome but I decided to give their facials a try as well since the price was right and the place is great. I've had a lot of facials and have to say that Sharon gave the hands down best facial I've ever had! She's fantastic, really listens to your skin concerns and uses great, gentle products (and never tries to sell you products either). It's an amazing experience and prices are super reasonable as well. Of course, the waxing is the best in town as well, I won't go anywhere else! Pros: Location, atmosphere, prices Cons: none!

Prices are good too. The only thing is it's kinda hard to get an appointment. Because of that, I had to go somewhere else to get a brazilian last minute once and it was the worst. I figured I get them done enough so I should be able to take it, right? WRONG! Alex @ Queen Bee takes 10-15 minutes, tops and is not that painful. This other chick (obviously at a place that is not Queen Bee) took about 40 minutes and the wax strips looked like a kotex. That's just wrong! I will remain faithful to Queen Bee. Pros: everything but the con (see below) Cons: Hard to get an appointment

I was fortunate to discover Queen Bee Waxing through KTLA5 morning show. Their recommendation was good enough for me. Due to a last minute cancellation, I was able to get an appointment that day. From the moment I walked into the spa I could tell I was on to a good thing. Everyone was so friendly and I mean genuinely friendly - rare for Los Angeles. Jodi was awesome, she treated me like an old friend. Did I mention she's really funny too. I'm an old pro when it comes waxing and this chick knows her business. She's a perfectionist and fast - got to love that. After a thorough inspection, I'd rate her work with an A+. Truly, this place is awesome. Finally I've leaned something worthwhile from watching T.V. Pros: Professional, clean, well priced Cons: none!

Going to a new waxer is always nerve-racking; however, I was immediately put as ease at Queen Bee. Not sure if it was the friendliness of the receptionist, the charm of the location or the precision of my waxer (have a feeling it was a combination of all three). I love that they take late appointments, as I cannot leave work until after 7:30pm, and I never have to wait more than a few minutes once I arrive. I whole-heartily recommend Queen Bee to those new to waxing and to those waxing veterans. Pros: late appts, easy parking, prompt service

This place wins all the awards because they send out emails to all their clients promising discounts and specials if they win "best of", etc., so of course they get all the votes. Unfortunately, it was due to a "best of" list that I went there in the first place. I wouldn't take the time to tell about this stuff, but I've had enough now. I had my my upper lip waxed today to give me the utmost confidence on Valentine's Day but instead will be even more selfconcious due to the scab on my upper lip. She ripped off my skin! No, I'm not on any medications and I haven't been in the sun for months. I've been getting my lip waxed for over 10 years at various places and never had this happen. Ever. 3 strikes. I'm finished. Here are my experiences: 1st visit: Brazilian wax. Managed to leave hair and look sloppy even though I've had laser treatments there and have very little hair left! (If it tells you anything, the place I went to before moving to LA gave me a discount because I had barely any hair) No more Brazilians from them since. 2nd visit: upper lip wax. She left a square of hair in the middle of my lip. I felt like Charlie Chaplain. 3rd visit. upper lip wax, confirmed that my whole lip would be done. Get to the car and see that there are raw areas where the skin was ripped off, one part had so much skin removed it was bleeding! This third time, I was ready to inspect and go back in to fix it. I know their policy is to fix it, but I am not in the habit of having to inspecting afterward. I have trusted the other places to do a good job without me checking their work. Plus, I don't have the time to keep going back to get it done right. This time, I did not go back inside because I know they could see that my lip was bleeding as I left and it's not like they can glue back on my skin. I wouldn't want them waxing me again, either. The good: the place is cute, the people are nice, and they have been pleasant about my being late. Pros: place is clean, staff is always nice Cons: sloppy work that you must inspect to get it done right, ripped off my facial skin

I had my brazilian wax done on 11 OCT 08. (For those wondering why it took me so long to write a review...ahem- I have kids that I'm raising on my own because my husband is stationed in Washington. : ) I was getting ready for my husband to return from his 8 month deployment. Since my time was limited, I had to do everything that day because that was the only day my in-laws could watch my 3 kids. Amazingly, Jodi was great in squeezing me in that morning. She was very sweet and nice to the point she made me cry tears of joy! Her attention to detail was impeccable. The last time I came here was last year- can you tell I'm a mom, lol- so of course I was excited to return. Jodi was so nice and asked me about my family and how me being a Navy Veteran and having a Chief in the Navy is-- stuff most people just brush off or don't really care. Especially because I'm young-27. Jodi truly did care and related because she is a mom herself. She was nice to even wax my eyebrows- no charge! I wish they were closer to Temecula because the only time I get to go is when the kids and my inlaws schedule allow- which seems to be once a year lol. I HIGHLY recommend Jodi and her salon to everyone! She is done and over with Brazilians in a flash- which if you ever had one you know the faster it's over the better! Plus, her technique is virtually pain free. ( I have a high tolerance for pain- 3 kids remember?) LADIES- ESPECIALLY MOMS- go treat yourself to the best at queen bees, you will be so happy you did- especially with Jodi.....trust me---I am! P.S. The people who write bad reviews more than likely are haters (competitors) of Queen Bees Waxing-- go for yourself to see why I was willing to drive 3 hours just to get waxed! I can't even begin to say how happy I am that I found Jodi. She is the best hands down! I have been going to her for over a year now, and every time I am thrilled with the result. She is the absolute master of the Brazilian wax, and she does it so fast, you won't even have time to feel the pain. Her skincare tips are amazing and if you listen to her advice, you'll never have bikini woes again. She always has a positive attitude and welcomes you with friendly conversation. The Queen Bee salon in Culver City is amazing, complete with seasonal muffins, treats, coffee and other drinks when you walk in the door. The products on the shelf are carefully selected and of the highest quality. Her staff is very helpful and accommodating, doing their best to get you the appointment you want. If you live in Southern California, you should be going to Jodi! Pros: Service, attitude, atmosphere
