This Museum is fairly new, but absolutely incredible. It is not open to the public on a regular basis, but is rather geared towards academics and students. The collection of socialist realist art is stunning/mind-blowing and the archives are truly unparalleled outside of Europe. It is only a matter of time before everyone has heard of this museum.

If you havent been, dont try to understand beforehand, just go. It defies words or explanation. It's sort of like a temple for a secret society that you are initiated into on your first visit. Evokes the following feelings... JG Ballard, Mutter Museum, The Brothers Quay, Jan Svankmeyer, Alchemy, Max Ernst, Proust, Dystopia, Decay, Surrealism, Guy Maddin and Clever jokes...

The Culver City Ice Rink is certainly a fun place to spend the day with the entire family. This is such a nice ice rink, quite big in size but there are a lot of people that go here. My daughter is just learning to ice skate and I am thinking of signing her up for the classes the offer at the rink.

A small little art gallery that's actually a house just recently moved to Santa Monica. Copro Nason is a name sake in the low brow art world. Many fine low brow artists have been shown at Copro over the years. Their show openings are usually well attended but if you're afraid of crowds, be aware they are always crowded.

Sony pictures studios is awesome. I worked on a show that had taped live events and studios is huge! I especially like it because their are a lot of great places to eat around the area. I found this great korean bbq restaurant near called gyenari.. never had anything like it.. is the bomb
