After only a few sessions with Virginia, I have made more progress toward my goals than I ever did after 20 years in therapy! I was OK, but stagnant and not really enjoying my life to the fullest; over-weight, un-motivated, un-inspired, and indecisive about pretty much everything. One decision that I was finally able to make was a call to Virginia. It was a life-changing decision and I am amazed and excited about the positive changes: incredible weightloss and a new enjoyment of exercise and healthy foods, a re-awakening of my creativity, self-confidence and optimism for the future. Hypnosis is nothing to fear, you are aware at all times, and Virginia provides a very soothing, tranquil, and safe experience. Her sessions should be on a spa menu! I sought hypnotherapy because I had a great fear in relationships. I often felt like I was born with a curse or fated to experience only unrequited love. I had a unique attraction pattern where I would always attract narcissistic partners. These were partners who always put themselves first and not give back as much as I gave. I felt frustration, disappointment and over all disheartenment. Because of this repetitious experience, I had a nervous energy going into every new relationship, hence making me close myself off and not fully opened to the experience. I understood this and knew that I had to get some sort of help. I saw Virginia about 4 times and on our third session I really felt like the hypnosis was working. Virginia put me into a relaxing state and she fed me words that really nurtured my soul and empowered me. I for once in my life finally was able to express myself in a way that I hadn't done before. I fought for what I deserved and what I wanted and when it wasn?t given to me, I was able to let it go. Hypnotherapy will not solve all your problems over night. It is subtle and nothing like what you perceive it to be. There is no clock swinging in front of your eyes, count to 10 and you're out! You are just so relaxed that you actually take the time to listen to what someone is saying and your chattering mind stops for a moment. Virginia?s voice is so calming and gentle you will feel instantaneously comforted. My best advice is to use hypnotherapy as a tool and not expect it to solve your problems without you yourself actively working at it simultaneously. Despite working in the TV industry, I've long shied away from being in front of the camera. Ditto speaking to groups regardless whether they were my employees or to a gathering or making a presentation. One session (1!) with Virginia and I learned enough to develop the means and mechanisms to cope with, and after a little practice, surmount my insecurities and camera-fright. There was nothing remotely untoward or scary about the process. No being hypnotized or feeling out of control. Just clear-eyed advice accompanied with practical lessons. On a dollar per value basis, I can't think of anything that compares in terms of effectiveness. I whole-heartedly recommend Virginia - even to dyed-in-the-wool Manhattanites. I was a bit skeptical about hypnosis at first, but I had tried so many other ways of coping with my issues that hadn't worked so I figured I would give it a try. I left the first visit dumbfounded by what had happened, it was amazing! In the days that followed I noticed small changes in my behavior, outlook and attitude overall. I seemed to have "broken through" whatever barrier had been preventing me from making real changes in the past. My second visit was even better and I can't wait for the next session! I had considered hypnotherapy for a while when finally I decided to take a step forward and do it! I found Virginia and I have to say she is fantastic! After only a few sessions I feel so much better, more confident and I am able to manage stress in a more relaxed way. She made me feel so comfortable and after leaving her studio I realized how relaxed and 'light' I was feeling..Hypnotherapy is a great experience and I highly recommend Virginia.
