This is the worst restaurant, especially the service! We are not caucasian and there was definitely a difference in the way we were treated by the wait staff. It took them 5 minutes to seat us, no one would even look at us despite the fact that the restaurant was fairly empty. The minute a caucasian couple/group walked in they were immediately seated. We didn't receive our bread, menu or water until 10 minutes later. The food was horrible, overpriced and gave us both a stomach ache. The only thing our waitress did was hand us the menus, take our order, and give us our check (we had to flag her down to get our check). Not once did she come and ask her how our food was. If you are anything but caucasian I would NOT recommend this restaurant at all. It was seriously the worst restaurant I have ever been to in LA. I would NEVER go back here.

I was starving one late friday afternoon, not having eaten
anything for days. Someone told me to clense my body by not eating anything fo two days. I did. I got really hungry.
Heard about SM bbq and went for it.
My god. nobody should miss jims meat. It is hard to ruin good meet says cousin Roy. just let it melt in your
mouth. dip the bread in the just, sop up the beans, drink a tanqueray and tonic (actually 3 of those bad boys.
then go home.

The best part about this deli is its theme (vintage Hollywood-- there's a giant photo of MGM's stars in the entryway) and location in Culver City (close to Target, TJ Maxx & Toys R Us, for reference). The food is good -- typical deli fare such as sandwiches, omelets, soups, etc -- but the prices are a bit high for what you get. But the place packs it in, especially at lunch time, so they're doing something right!
