When I became engaged to my husband, I immediately went in search for that perfect-for-me wedding dress. And the first place I looked for the dress was near my home in Covington, LA - Bridal Manor.
I was actually thrilled to be engaged for so many reasons - love, marriage, a diamond ring, but also to be able to officially go shopping at Bridal Manor. You see, Bridal Manor is in such a quaint little house-looking store right off of a fairly busy road. It had pretty gowns hanging in the windows for drivers to see.
I haven't been to Bridal Manor is nearly 4 years now, as I relocated to where my husband was from, but if it's like it was 4 years ago, it is a great place to find a wedding dress.
This store offers something for every bride. It has very expensive dresses, as well as nice dresses at deep discounts. I found the perfect dress for me that was only $200! Being able to buy my dress for $200 seemed like a huge miracle!
The store is rather small, so if you come at the right time you can get lots of help finding your type of dresses, trying them on, and prancing around in them. Otherwise it may be rather crowded or you will have to wait for someone to assist you.
If you're engaged and live in Louisiana anywhere near Covington, Mandeville, or Madisonville, I would highly recommend you take a few hours and go to Bridal Manor to see their bridal gown selection.

I found that the prices were very comparable and the staff were second to none! They have an extensive collection of Step2 products. I would shop there again because of the people that work there.

I used to love coming here with my mom when I was little. This store has been around for ages, and hasn't changed much in this time either. There isn't much room here, but they have just about anything you can think of. The prices are great too.

Mr. Kelly was an English Gentleman! He made my wife and I feel right at home, more than in a Tea Room restaurant. The waitress explained the various dishes available and she was also delightful! The food was excellent ! My wife and I will definitely return as often as we can. We recommend that everyone who is in South Louisiana should go to Covington and visit the English Tea Room!
Pros: Delicious Shepherd's Pie, Sumptuous Tea"Winsor Castle"

I was surprised at the nice selection of clothes at a good price. There are sizes from XS- XX. She has jeans to formals & does alterations too. The jewelry is nice & even though the shop is small you can find a lot to choose from. Usually she has a sale too. I found lots of Ann Taylor clothes & some expensive name jeans for lots less than new. Plus they looked new. It is hard to find a place that has something for younger tastes as well as older. We need more places like this!

Autozone has reasonable prices, but the customer service is not the greatest. It seems that every time we've gone in there, the employees are on personal phone calls and it takes quite a while to either get a part of ask about a part. I would suggest going to a smaller auto parts dealer

After seeing a newspaper ad, I entered Cottage Antiques expecting to get the one item in the ad. I hadn't even closed the door behind me when I became enchanted by all of the memory-evoking items in just the first room. Couldn't help but smile as I milled through the items in each of the rooms, touching things that reminded me of Grandma, finding perfect presents for family members even though Christmas was months away. The handmade baby outfit I wanted exceeded my expectations - simply beautiful. The personalized linens were beautiful, and I look forward to ordering some for upcoming weddings. The prices were quite reasonable, which is why my total bill was a more than I had intended; how could I not pick up each little item? I truly loved this store, and the people were wonderfully warm, friendly and helpful. I can't wait to visit Covington again so that I can spend a couple of hours wandering through all the treasures this delightful little shop has to offer.

You can find some cool stuff in this place from time to time. Although a lot of times when I come in here its the same stuff that has been in here for years. I have found tons of CD's, games, and DVD's for a great price.
