Semolina's in Covington is excellent. The food is awesome, the service is exceptional, and the setting is wonderful. Although a bit small, the the dining room is very nice. GREAT SERVICE!

Mr. Kelly was an English Gentleman! He made my wife and I feel right at home, more than in a Tea Room restaurant. The waitress explained the various dishes available and she was also delightful! The food was excellent ! My wife and I will definitely return as often as we can. We recommend that everyone who is in South Louisiana should go to Covington and visit the English Tea Room!
Pros: Delicious Shepherd's Pie, Sumptuous Tea"Winsor Castle"
Cons: None at all !!!!

Ground Pati is a great spot to go with kids and not have to wait a long time for seating. You generally can get in and out pretty quickly. The prices are reasonable and they have a variety of choices. Everything from hamburgers, to filet's. The service is not fantastic, but it's not the worst in town

this is the place for good food and plenty of it! True New Orleans Italian food with quality and pizazzz. I will keep coming back for more. The deserts are to save room for as they are the best in the area.

Outback Steakhouse is a great spot in Covington. The food is always good. We've never gone and had a bad experience. It's family oriented, so kids are always welcome. They had out coloring pages and crayons for the kids when you arrive. Their frozen drinks are fabulous. The chicken wings and cheese fries are great as appetizers. The only drawback is that it's always crowded, which means you have to wait to be seated. They do have curbside service though, which allows you to order ahead and drive up for your order, which is very convenient.

Applebee's is definately not a place to go when you're in a hurry or looking for a great meal. For the service and the food, they are a little pricey. The food tastes like frozen food that was just heated up. The service is extremely slow.

Sonic is a neat drive in restaurant. You pull right up into a vacant spot, press the button on the speaker and place your order. Nothing healthy here, but it's great for a quick family stop. They've got burgers, chicken sandwiches, nuggets and hotdogs. They also have a huge selection of deserts, shakes, sundaes, ice cream cones.

Good food, nothing spectacular, but good for the price. Very nice staff and quick service. Outdated decor, poor parking area, untidy bathrooms, noisy staff. Manager not on hand for compliments or complaints. Not a lot of consistency from one day to the next. Employees who cook seem loud and not a lot of cohesiveness. The floors are unkept, some silverware and plates are dirty. Patrons seemed comfortable. Waiting for food sometimes promotes problems as go orders are sometimes confused with dine-in or errors are made. Weekend buffet is adequate, predictable, but decent. Small staff produces good food. There are times when the weekend buffet gets dry. Boiled seafood for weekend buffets are mostly late in being prepared for weekend dinner.
Daily buffet for lunch is adequate, bland, and very crowded.
Service in evening dinners on weekends are excellent as customers seemed at home and rather personal with wait staff. Cohesiveness between employees in the evening is more apparant in rushing moments than most places. Ease of errors was evident.
Overall, good home-cooked meals, wonderful and friendly staff, but messy dining room, bathrooms, and silverware.

Any Popeye's has good chicken. The flavor is always good and it usually doesn't vary in quality. The service however at this particular Popeye's, the service is horrible. Expect to wait in the drive-up for about 20 minutes. It doesn't matter if you go first thing in the morning, lunch time or dinner time, there is always a lengthy drive up wait (even if you're the only one in line). The restaurant itself is not too bad. It doesn't seem as though they clean the tables off much.

Heiner's offers another beer tour in the New Orleans area. Theirs is different from the one Abita offers in that they are a German company and have a museum of related beer artifacts. It's a decent tour and the museum is interesting. The only problem we had was waiting for a spot to open up so I would reccommend calling ahead or going early in the day. All in all, not a bad tour.
