I liked this bar. On the weekends it can get really crowded. They were doing karaoke on Sat. nights and that was fun. The people all there seem to know each other, in fact I met my husband there! The bartenders are all friendly and there's a pool table in the back. I wasn't expecting much as far as the food goes, but I got hungry one night and tried it and was very surprised at how good it was. I'd recommend stopping by this place.

My favorite is the mussels. They're famous for them. Reubens and Fish n Chips come a close second. The coleslaw, served with a lot of meals, is to die for. Every once in a while, mussel chowder is on the menu - definitely worth ordering. All kinds of GOOD beer on tap. This is a local favorite, though sometimes in the summer we can't get in for the tourists. John, the owner, is a great guy and a strong member of the community. Sometimes it's a little slow getting your food - they have a very small kitchen - but the hot stuff is always hot and the cold is properly chilled. After a couple of visits, the waiters know what you want. Just the kind of place you want to have a relaxing meal in. If you want snooty - I suggest you head back to the big city - we prefer real and honest.

Following the lead of several strong recommendations we decided to try this place on a weeknight for dinner. When we entered and proceeded to try and sit at an open booth we were rudely told by the women behind the bar that "hey, you know we got a sign up list here". We then added our names and did get seated 25 minutes later. The waitress wasn't much more welcoming when she took our order. What did we order? Two bowels of clam chowder (pretty good), two orders of Halibut fish and chips (fish wasn't bad, fries overcooked) and two glasses of Guinness. The bill? $55! That's real expensive for pub food.
Cons: Too expensive, poor customer service

I like the thin crust pizzas - so they're crisp. They load the pizzas up with so many ingredients, sometimes the crusts don't get done in the middle. Who would complain about too many toppings? Big screen tv, local gathering place, particularly after games or practice. Much better pizzas than most of the pizza places. Only one I know better, you get to take it home and bake it yourself.
