This is my son's favorite sushi place. I am not a sashimi fan but I have had their rolls. They are pretty good, I just wish they wouldn't drizzle so much sauce over them because the sauce gets everything too wet and overwhelms the food. Good service though.

Located on the corner of Harbor Blvd and Adams. Maru Sushi has lots of seating and at lunch or dinner, getting a table is never a problem. They serve sushi as well as the typical tempura/teriyaki combo plates. The wait staff is friendly and the service is good. Try your favorite hand roll made with soy paper instead of nori (seaweed), I had spicy crab and it was quite good. This is the first place I tried soy paper and found it's easier to bite into than nori.

I found that many of their "specialty sushi" dishes were just slathered in heavy sauces. I know sushi is suppose to be healthy for you, however these dishes were not. I found parking around the side of the restaurant. It's ok for some people I guess, but I would not go back again. nice people though. P.S-- I used my credit card there and when i checked my statement it didn't match up. I'm in the middle of finding out what happened right now.

This sushi restaurant is in a strip mall, so it's very busy and a bit difficult to park. We sat at the sushi bar as we always do at every sushi restaurant. It was a very busy (wed night) at the bar and the tables. After reading over the regular menu and the 50% off menu we settled on the following rolls: MGI - not good, plain Maru Roll - served hot, ok, good sauce Monkey Roll - best out of all we tried, good spicy mayo sauce Albacore sushi (50% off) - good thick piece, good sauce Fresh Water Eel sushi - good thick piece Oyster Shooter (just one for my bf) - not good Overall the experience, was ok & average. Probably wouldn't go back. The service was great though and the employees were very nice. Pros: fast service, very nice employees, well lit Cons: average sushi
