First: weekend brunch is from 10:30-2:30, very affordable, and out-of-this-world fantastic! Above all, I recommend the eggs benedict (as a rule, I don't like this dish, but Memphis changed my mind on that!) and the french toast.
Weekdays, lunch is from 11am-3pm and dinner is after 5pm. The food is fantastic: salads, crab cakes, the "soul" burger...so much flavor, your taste buds will be doing back flips. There's another location in Santa Ana's "Artist Village" (nearby the "other" Gypsy Den), though I recommend their website for the skinny on menu/hours/entertainment: www.memphiscafe.com. If you haven't been there, you've no idea what you've been missing! I'm a big fan of good food in general, so my recommendation will (hopefully) never steer you wrong.

Good music on certain nights. Drinks are not pricey at all. More of a dive bar than the typical glam of LA or OC. Diverse group of people. No real dance floor, but on a busy night, dancing can be done. Not for everyone, but if you're looking for an inexpensive night of fun, this might be the place for you.
